AOAO Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I visited this coffee shop with genuine interest in purchasing the business. The space is lovely, and this review is not about the quality of the coffee or service — it’s about the lack of professionalism and transparency during the negotiation process.

When I asked questions and made an offer, no one could provide clear financial details or justify the asking price of $75,000. The reported turnover figures didn’t support that valuation, and it was never made clear what exactly is included in that price.

The kitchen setup is very limited — mostly a few fridges — and the coffee machine can be rented from a supplier. Given that, my offer was fair and based on the current market reality.

Unfortunately, instead of a professional discussion, I was blocked on Marketplace, which only happened because the seller couldn’t even engage in a proper conversation about the numbers.

I wish them good luck with the sale — and I sincerely hope future buyers are treated with more professionalism and provided with transparent...
