O Bagel in Broadbeach is an absolute gem — hands down one of the best bagel spots I’ve come across on the Gold Coast. If you’re a bagel lover, this place is a must-try.
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and relaxed. The interior is clean and modern, with a casual beachy feel that matches the Broadbeach atmosphere perfectly. The staff were super friendly, efficient, and seemed genuinely passionate about what they do, which always makes a difference.
The bagels themselves? Incredible. Fresh, chewy, and just the right amount of crisp on the outside. You can really taste the difference compared to your standard cafe bagel. They offer a great range of options — from classic bacon and egg to more creative combos like the Korean fried chicken or smoked salmon with cream cheese and capers.
I went with the NYC Reuben, and it was packed with flavour — melt-in-your-mouth pastrami, tangy sauerkraut, melted cheese, and mustard on a perfectly toasted bagel. Absolutely delicious and very filling. My partner tried the Smashed Avo bagel, and it was also top-tier — fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavours, and a generous portion.
Coffee was surprisingly good too. Sometimes with food-focused spots, the coffee is an afterthought, but not here. Smooth, well-made, and served hot. It paired perfectly with the bagels.
Prices are reasonable, especially for the quality. Around $14–$18 for most bagels, which is fair given the portion sizes and premium ingredients. It does get a bit busy during brunch hours, but the line moved quickly, and food didn’t take long to come out.
We sat outside, enjoyed the sunshine, and watched the Broadbeach crowd pass by — such a great little spot for a casual, satisfying meal.
In summary, O Bagel is fresh, flavourful, and worth every cent. Whether you’re local or just visiting, it’s the kind of place you’ll end up craving again the next day....
Read moreA weekend away in the sunny Northern State of Australia, away from cramped metropolitan marred by rivers of downpour and I could already draw a line and say "Yep, we made it." But alas, I reserve that distinction for what I consider to be one of the best Bagelries (*Bagel Eateries) in the world ... yep, and I've had a fair few.
@obagel_house requisites a visit anytime I'm north of Byron. I've watched them evolve over my trips to Queensland over two years and the menu maintains very strong staples while also throwing in some exciting updates here and there. Also, branched off in Korea (I'm not sure where it started first) the flavours of boiled and baked ring dough go from classic – plain, sesame, everything – to more mod, such as blueberry and black jalapeno, my personal favourite. The bagels have a great viscosity to them, that's springy on feel, yet tears easily. A solid chew but with a nice crunch on the inner crumb when toasted and cut.
Sandwiches and drinks also scale the spectrum of /lite 'n' easy/ to full blown power bunch spec. I'm a repeat offender of the mocha cream cheese (coffee and cocoa infused CC, possibly with a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg if I'm tasting that right?). It's an amazing balance of not-too-sweet sweet with earthiness. Cold brew is on the lighter side like a Lipton tea and there's multiple types of coffee and matcha mix drinks that would make your favourite speakeasy blush. The vibe is cosmopolitan mixed with corner store and you can smash it down or smear it however you want. Strong, strong recommendation for any...

We weren’t sure if they were opened on ANZAC day but a quick message on Instagram after hours confirmed they were opened. Great first impression for being on top of their social media and customer networking.
At 9am, the small cafe was packed and customers constantly arriving. Line waiting time was about 5 minutes, great and quick service. Waiting time for drinks were less than 10 minutes, and the bagels came about 10 minutes later. The bagels were presented beautifully and wrapped professionally, all easy for dining in or takeaway. A wide range of bagels to choose from, bagel fillings and extras to add on. They were soft, tasted fresh and very filling.
They allow the purchase of plain bagels and bagel packs to take home which is great. Also providing occasional grazing platters for larger groups.
A very trendy, new and bustling cafe with a sole purpose of spreading their bagel love. Perfect for all audiences including pets!
Definitely recommend visiting if you’re a bagel fan and I will be coming back to try their other...
