Coolabah Tree Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

First time visiting here and won’t be back, staff were very dismissive like I was interrupting their day. Ordered their breakfast special, bacon and egg roll, hash brown and a coffee.

Lady went into the back for a few minutes to start cooking I assumed, came back and put a few things in the fridge and then started to make my coffee, gave me the coffee then proceeded to take the bacon and egg roll out of the hotbox, I have no idea why she faffed around in the kitchen and the fridge first just to give me a pre-made heated up roll and hash brown.

Now onto the food, hash brown had an overwhelming taste of fish, I’m assuming they were made in their fish fryer, the roll was okay but not much filling, just in the middle so a lot of bites were just bread. Coffee tasted burnt and bitter, all very disappointing.

Finally the staff, not sure if they were complaining about the boss or another staff member but one was saying that they had to get something done before ‘he’ came in otherwise he will be a real princess about it, just not a good look.

how far has this place fallen the food I've been passing through this eatery for a few years now and have seen this place have a few owners and each time the quality has dropped and pricing gone up to now its very very below average food but the kicker was the pricing $21 for a breakfast burger and milkshake. come on that's plain robbery. The burger had minimal toppings the egg was like rubber the cheese was hard and the bacon well that was almost non existent it was like eating a old shoe, I ended up throwing it away it was that poorly made. but for the price one would expect something that's actually cooked and more edible. sham on you for charging those prices for bad food maybe you should change business paths to robbery. serious do some other business it will come back on you for pushing such below par food even macca d's is above your quality of food and pricing and that's saying alot. Really should be ashamed of yourselves. will never...

Just purchased a roast beef sandwich from here at the Coomera truckstop. It was by far the worst sandwich I have ever purchased. $11.95, bread not buttered sandwich not even cut. I took back and asked if they could butter bread and cut in half for me. When they handed it back they had just lifted one slice of bread off and buttered it then when I went to eat it ,it was not a roast beef sandwich at all. There was no slices of roast meat instead it was just random chunks of grissle. I would like to attach the pics I took but there is no option to do so. I can't believe when I took it back and asked for butter that the employee who opened it up and did so thought it was OK to hand that disgusting looking thing...
