Cafe on South Bay — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

This is another diamond in the rough. I absolutely love coming here. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always show patience when hearing my order as yes folks....I am one of those women who changes her mind every second and never gets the same thing. 😜

The breakfast menu is delicious and very consistent with presentation, taste, and affordability.

This place is packed on a Saturday and Sunday for breakfast so make sure you get in quick.

Dogs are welcome which isn’t my cup of tea but if you’re on a walk and want to drop in for a coffee and a bite, bring your dog and grab a seat.

Customers young and old are welcome and there is no dress code (just a mask if Covid permits it!)

A great sized cafe. I find many cafes of today over complicate things and jam you into a tight corner with nowhere to move while over complicating foods. The menu is great, simple with a good variety when compared with other cafes especially around Burleigh. I’ve been getting the chicken omelette for about 6 years although sadly it has dropped in size dramatically. I hoped i was just unlucky the last 3 to 4 times but now realise this is now what it is. What used to be hard to finish is now a very small amount of food that won’t fill an adult male up. Hopefully portion sizes can increase again to make the cafe a 5 star. Placed an order for 2 people at the counter , person behind the counter didn’t read it back out and then undercharged me. Went back up and she didn’t put through an item. Waited 25 mins with still no food for myself whilst my partner had practically finished hers. Went up to ask about it and they hadn’t even started making it as the kitchen had “forgotten.” When I finally received my food, it was very plain and boring and was not worth the wait at all.
