First visit to Old Town Corner, was a frequent visitor to same place when it was Bamboo Garden.
Order total $114
3 x Large Special fried rice - Rice resembled boiled rice more than fried rice, pale in colour and little flavour, a few under cooked prawns in each but barely any other meat.
1 x Lemon Chicken - The portion was small and the batter was chewy, didn't like the taste of the sauce but can't blame then for that.
1 x Combination Chow Mein - This was the worst dish of all, served in a bigger container it was 75% overcooked sloppy 2 minute noodles, (not the thinner noodles) and hardly any meat at all, ill go as far as to say this dish is a complete rip off.
1 x Mongolian Lamb - This was nice, lots of lamb and a good taste.
1 x Chicken Kung Po - This was nice and had a good flavour, chicken was a little bit sludgy though.
1 x Chicken Satay -Tasted heavily of MSG, not terrible but you know when you are not enjoying a meal anymore? ....Yeah that!
1 x Prawn Crackers - Fresh and what you would expect from a Prawn Cracker.
In summary, its a real shame to have to say this but the prices have gone up slightly and the food has gone down a lot.

Read moreThe food was mediocre to below average. The environment was poor, with chair legs sticking out, causing tripping hazards, and the use of disposable cups, which I have never seen before after dining at numerous restaurants. The restaurant was also greasy throughout. However, the prices were at the same level as other Malaysian restaurants that offer better ambiance and hygiene. My husband experienced diarrhea right after eating, which raised concerns about food hygiene.
The ownerâs children were another issue. The little girl repeatedly touched my baby, from feet to head, becoming increasingly bold despite me telling her she could only look and not touch. I had to keep an eye on her the entire time, which interfered with my meal. The older boy also came over, grabbed my babyâs hand without permission while my baby was eating the other hand, and walked away before I could react. It was uncomfortable and...
