Goji Granola Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I have been coming here for a long time but today will be my last! We asked for a acai bowl with coco fluff and what was brought out was pitaya bowl with fluff. After explaining the problem, the initial lady took back the bowl and sent the girl who took the order from my wife out with the same bowl. She said that when she repeated the order back to my wife she said "pitaya bowl" even though my wife said she never repeated anything. Not only this but my wife would never have said that as she was ordering for me and knows I do not like pitaya. The lady preceded to tell us that "she would get into trouble" if we did not take the bowl. My wife being ridiculously too nice tried to order another acai bowl and the lady charged her again. This is when I had had enough and asked for a refund of both bowls (before she made the 2nd bowl) as I was completely over it and in utter disbelief that she charged us a 2nd time for the same bowl! She refunded us the one bowl and made the original order with one little exception... We originally a large and what came out was clearly a small acai bowl which was obviously done on purpose! I'm actually so disappointed because I have always enjoyed goji bar but that is literally some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed let alone been subjected to. Both my wife and I have spent our entire working careers in hospitality and I would be so disappointed if I owned...

I dont often write reviews unless an establishment is exceptional or sub par. I am disappointed in how the staff treated me om two occassions.

I was a regular at goji and id often meet my friends there for acai bowls. I ordered my acai bowl as usual and it tasted a bit off. I told the waitress and asked her to taste it, but she didnt. I asked her to make a new one if possible, but she left and returned two minutes later to tell me she couldn't. She explained that she had made both acai bowls in the same batch and there "couldnt" be anything wrong with it. That was not the case, and she refused to taste it or make a new one.

I gave goji a second chance a few weeks later because my girlfriend invited me to go. When i arrives i ordered another acai bowl (thank god it tasted ok this time). It was pretty cold out and i juat had a coffee so i asked for a cup of hot water. The server said ahe would charge me $4 for a cup of hot water. Really??!!

Poor treatment on two occasions has lost gogi a regular customer. I now go to the Lott in robina where they dont charge me for hot water and they even gave me a bit extra fruit on my acai bowl because they see that i came there most mornings. Thats how an establishment...

Edited: Rude response from owner and can't admit their staff are incompetent. Yes I DO have the correct cafe and I may have the prices wrong by a few dollars but it's beside the point. I was a regular here and had a family member up from Melbourne to visit and took her here for breakfast. Asked if they can adjust the big breakfast to suit a vegan (exclude the meat and swap for spinach and tomato) At first the chef said no, then they both chatted to each other (I think in Portuguese). They then said we can "build a breakfast" from the menu by choosing toast and then adding each extra. It totalled $38!!!! For a piece of toast and some spinach. When I said that the big breakfast with bacon and sausages was cheaper, they said sorry it's the only way I can place the order.😂 What an absolute joke. I'm never visiting here again.
