Hungry Jack's Burgers Gold Coast Airport — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Wednesday 7thJune. Waited 50 mins for just a bag of chips, and it would have been longer if I didn't complain or the alternative was to miss my order to catch flight. There was about 30 people waiting for their orders and only 1 person making up the orders. Heard a lot of people not happy about how long it was taking.. I had 20 mins to catch my flight, so went up to the girl who was taking the orders and asked if they could stop taking orders and help get the orders out to everyone waiting as we all had flights to get. Another girl, I assume the manager, comes out and says we are short staffed and cannot stop taking orders. There was also around 30 different drinks sitting on the Counter waiting to be placed with the orders from the time I placed my order. The poor guy making up the orders I think was overwhelmed. Anyway after more words with the girl (manager) I got my chips and left very annoyed and concerned for everyone left there waiting for...

Staff don't seem happy. Long Queue developed and it took about 15 mins to place an order and another 10 to get the food, oddly the pace of order delivery was rather slow and the staff didn't seem to think there was any urgency.

Odd that this is a service business with poor service.

The food was surprisingly tasty,

but

The burger was cold There was no ice in the drink

Many of the food signs / panels were out (and need replacing)

Additionally the display was out (which would have shown which ordered were ready for pickup) leading to staff calling out fulfilled orders.

Finally acrid smoke was belching out of the grill upon arrival.

HJ fix your staffing and poor service delivery. Clean up all display panels with new bulbs. Fix the computer display. Improve the pace of food delivery and order fulfilment. Don't change the food quality or taste - as...

I know its almost a rush hour in the afternoon, but the least that staff who prepare an order can do is to make sure the order is right and acceptably packed. Ordered a super stunner, my chips was put upside down covering the burger and nugget, absolutely mess to eat from the paperbag. Not to mention the mini ice cream and ketchup was nowhere and I had to ask one of the staff, only for her to tell the same girl who packed my order. She rushed back into the kitchen, grab the ice cream, grinned to the one who tell her while walking out from the kitchen, and handed me the ice cream without saying anything or even look at me. Yes, the girl with a pink hairband on the picture facing other way.

And I didnt even hesitate for a second to just walk away after that, not wasting more energy to get the ketchup. The burger is not that warm, i didnt eat it because felt disgusted eating that...
