We were so looking forward to our Chaplin but on getting the pizza home we immediately noticed it was missing proscuito, so I phoned thinking we had the wrong order the person said no sorry we dont have any proscuito as it was not supplied to them today. So I asked why are they selling pizza because we are not happy with a pizza without proscuito and so what compensation are you going to give us can we bring this one back (10min drive away) no I will ask the manager - came back and said next time you order a Chaplin tell us and we will give you extra proscuito. My recent visit to La Bocca was unfortunately quite underwhelming. While the menu prices suggested a premium experience, the overall quality fell short.

The biggest letdown was the Freddy mercury pizza. The "blue cheese" option lacked flavor depth and seemed bland. It would be helpful if the cheese used was a cheese rather than a glorified mayonnaise.

Additionally, the service seemed inattentive, which further detracted from the dining experience.

La Bocca Pizza is by far one of the best takeaway pizza joints on the southern Gold Coast. Their pizzas are at a slightly higher price point in comparison to all the fast food pizza chains. However it is cheaper, yet tastes just as good, as all the other independently owned artisan pizzeria's.
