McDonald's Harbour Town — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

They never get my order right, the coffees are always wrong and the staff seem to not care. I have been here many times, had many coffees... I was once a McCafe barista so I know the policies and procedures, they simply don't follow them. The toilets are also pretty gross at times as are the eating areas.

I once ordered a cheese burger. A cheese burger is built with a bun, Patty, cheese, onion, ketchup, pickles and bun.... I received bun, patty, cheese, ketchup, bun.

I always order a caramel latte if I am desperate enough to get a coffee here... So far my first coffee was in a mug(meant to be in a glass), it was cold, had cappuccino foam (double that of a latte) and no caramel syrup. Also the beans were obviously from the day before as they were very acidic, and the milk was burned.

The second coffee was a double shot caramel latte. I received a double shot latte...

The third coffee was a tall caramel latte... I received a small caramel flat white.

The fries: unsalted, mushy and cold

The nuggets: mushy

The customer service: almost non-existent

The staff: uninterested in their jobs or the customers.

The store: always dirty, tables don't get wiped, floors almost never clean.

The managers: arrogant, immature, uninterested in anything.

I have at times even sat at this store for over an hour and still no cleaning which is a breach of McDonalds' policies and OH&S. These floors are made from tiles and get very slippery when fries are dropped and stood on.

I recently visited this McDonalds! I can’t believe what happened. First of all I would like to applause Russel as he is one fine young man, his demonstration of leadership within a workplace community solidifies the structural integrity of Australia! However not to a fault of Russel is where I had a disaster within my order. My Big Mac sauce portion given to me in my 24 nuggets pack was shockingly unacceptable. When I realised this I went to my idol, Russel! he then told me the name of this criminal who had done this. His name was Elliot! He described him as a skinny, weak and 80kg max bench. I then realised that this event with this man was not the only bad experience I had eating here while he was working. His attitude to me when ordering at the front Instead of kiosk was horrifying. His insults included of fat, ugly, virgin and loser when I said I like face to face ordering. Elliot I have one word for you. “Your cooked and count your days”. On the other hand every other staff working is excellent including my man Russel ( I love him so much) please give him a pay raise. Quite literally the worst McDonald’s in Australia. I live around the corner so go to this McDonald’s purely out of convenience, and every time it is awful, consider this my final visit. It’s rare to be given your correct order, and if it’s correct, there is always something wrong with the food. It’s ALWAYS cold, or they take forever through the drive though (I waited 20 minutes once, they forgot about me so then had to wait even longer for them to remake it, somehow still cold!). One time I ordered a hot honey burger, didn’t get any hot honey. If you ask for extra sauce (& pay!!) you don’t get given any. This final order, I was given a burger with a stale bun, I got home and honestly struggled to cut through it with a knife. I can actually make a knocking sound because of how hard it is. They also don’t care at all if you let them know, they literally couldn’t give a toss. Avoid avoid avoid to not waste your money!! Go to literally any other McDonald’s franchise. I know I’ll be avoiding from now on, would rather drive the extra 10 minutes to Hope Island or Helensvale!
