Visited Harbour town my family had lunch at Nonna recommended by word of mouth. We ordered children nugget meal, fish and chips and 2 works burger meals. When you see the establishment it's appealing and inviting to eat, of course with a number of customers eating out in the eatery side quite full but is it due to construction work happening in Harbour Town centre that it stops access from viewing other choices to eat at in the centre. Well being a visitor from NZ I am happy to go where it's been recommended to eat. Our bill was $120 for a okay lunch however the Manager who had just come on duty was incredibly understanding and Listen to recommendations of the food. The waiter and waitress were great obliging to your needs and customer service was good. The works meal burger cost $24.95 how can you justify a burger that has a briose bun soaked in butter and the patty dry with no flavour of course you could taste the mayo but did it and was it great when taking your first bite of a burger, little side salad and chips hot in a little petite frying basket looking at its appearance and presentation I was excited to take a bite into the burger. It was bland, dry patty and just did not taste like a $24.95 meal or was I paying for the good service of the waiter and waitress were giving. Oops maybe it's the chef and sous chefs wiping there foreheads from the sweat from the oven and grills heat. As the food came off the line and checked on display can't help noticing the maitre woman or manager wiping her nose. Here comes our order. Do make sure when the waiter comes and as you how your meal is its when you take that first few bites not when it's presented, of course it looks great but what about the taste, hot, freshness, quality. All I can say after my brother in law said we will not be visiting again the burger was not the best. He could by a burger that is juicy and appetising than this. So from the top of the page walking to pay our bill I could not leave it as having a background in hospitality $24.95 burger meals , and the rest of the meal sufficient. The manager listening intently wanting to bring this up at there next meeting gave confidence that quality of product to your customers was important than just pushing it out because they were steady I dining. Thankyou to the manager without realising he discounted for poor quality food $23.00. An assured changes hope others will find exceptional quality food. I do hope so as customer...
Read moreFood was delicious and came out in good time which was great! 🥩🍔🥓 Atmosphere was Alive! 🍻🥂🍹✨ The musician lined up some great tunes for a cool night! 🎷🎸🎶 Although it is an open area, there were heaters in place keeping the place nice and cosy! ✨ 🔥 ☺️ We were in two groups that occupied two separate tables for tea. Both groups thoroughly enjoyed our evening and the service was second to none, with the waitresses checking in on us, constantly! With that being said, there was a slight turn-off to the evening though, with a particular team member who said her name was “Happy”. The said team member only turned up to our table once, at the beginning, with her big bulky black jacket and wanted to take our food order straight after we had just sat down. She didn’t get the hint that we’d probably have some drinks to start off with first before the food. So we felt forced in having to rush through the menu and give her our choices, during at which stage she had already began to roll her eyes. After this little twitch at the start, we never got to see her again right until the end, where we were heading over to the till with another team member but this particular “Happy” had beaten her to the till and started reading out and processing our charge. After paying for our table, she was quick to then pull out a piece of paper from her pocket, that had a barcode, which she asked us to scan, which lead us to this site, google review. She wanted us to put a review on here and mention her name. Now, we have absolutely no problem with this, but, when all of the service was being delivered by every other team member but her, we did not see this fit and right! She asked the same of our other table as well, which no one really responded well too after we all left and walked away. So, all in all, Awesome Venue, Awesome Meals, the hardworking team are Sensational! But that first welcome service and the ending, by the one individual, caused you the one Star. To anyone that is wanting to try the place out though, definitely go for it! You’re not going to be...
Read moreHave been on prior occasions and Nonna's has been busy with good food and service. But tonight was terrible. Plenty of tables available when we arrived around 6.30pm. Had to ask for someone to actually come and take our order after 15 mins of waiting. Plenty of staff on service but just not in our area ( bench seating) Other tables in our area had to request service as well. Obviously no staff assigned to our area. One elderly man actually went up to request service and was told by manager/ owner (blue and white stripped shirt) to go sit down and he would would come and get their order. But he didn't and it took another 10 mins for them to get their order taken by flagging down a staff member. Our main meals were great and good serving size but when we requested salt and pepper the man came up to our table and basically threw a small plastic containet with salt and pepper sachets? onto our table. After our meals we had to request someone to remove our dinner plates and asked to order dessert. Blue/ white stripe shirt guy took our order. 10 mins later the giant cookie dessert came out but not our sticky date pudding. We started eating the cookie dessert while waiting for the other dessert. 15 mins later after finally getting a staff members attention, we tell the staff member that our other dessert hadn't arrived but we have to go to a movie, and would like that taken off our bill. Went to pay and when I said to that man ( all 8n black)about our missing dessert, I received no apology at all.
Overall, meals were tasty and good size serves. Service was very lacking in our area but it did seem that other areas were...
