Red Rooster Runaway Bay — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I am a local in Runaway Bay and I’ve got to say that the Runaway Bay Red Rooster is one of, if not the worst Red Roosters I’ve ever been to. The inside is always dirty tables with spills and food left in them, the floors and tables always feel sticky and digesting. The drive thru speaker is so bad you can’t understand the person talking to you half the time and they don’t seem To understand you either. The boards showing what you can order are in suck a bad place, making them hard to read without moving away from the speaker. The employees always get our order wrong. Today I ordered two rooster rolls one large chips and a gravy, the employees kept changing our order to two combos which we didn’t want drinks or a second chips. Then when we got to the pay window they said again two combos said no just two rooster rolls. They changed the order and we paid just to see that we only had one rooster roll. Had to go back around told the employee the order was wrong and the employee said the two rooster rolls right? We said yes then proceeded to tell us we only paid for one even though he knew we ordered two. Had to order a second one wait for that and pay for it. Then when we got home realised that our LARGE chips was actually a small chips in a large chips box. So not only did they constantly stuff up our order they didn’t put the correct amount of chips in either, put it simply we felt scammed. This Res Rooster has always stuffed something in our order up so thought it was time to make a review and to never go there again. Nobody in store thought cool no waiting - there wasn't, got the $15,90 meal, Peice of chicken, chicken burger, potato and gravy, drink and chips. Well really what a disgrace to call this a hygenic food outlet worth going to. First off had to get the table cleaned, and they were all available. How does it get a five star rating I will only have to say the owner or staff write them because no client would give a good report had they received a. chicken had been starved and over cooked. b. the burger was soft or sloppy you could call it, with bits of chicken nugget and a smidgen of something that I presume was stuffing, as this was the Chistmas deal. c. potato was a teaspoon the rest was gravy, and the chips tasted nice, but I had to count them FIFTEEN and one was inedable, the others were good. I sat down thought oh the drink as advertised was a paper cup so went to the counter, sorry for disturbing them, nobody there but I had to wait, I was told help youself to whatever you want from the fridge, really, then went back to the table and could not eat the potato and gravy so had to go back to the counter, sorry to disturb you again, I had to wait again, then got a spoon. If I owned this place I would sack the whole lot and close it down, in present day demands on a friday night, I was the only person in the place for twenty minutes, no gloves that I could see out back with the drive throughs, staff member that served me was acting as though I disturbed her, obviously all the other people had read the reviews on this dump...

Went through the drive through today 26/1/24 3 pm. Ordered whole chicken cut into 8. Family chips & large peas. Staff were so slow took me 35 mins to get to service counter. Staff running around like chooks with their heads cut off. Girl finally opened window & said you ordered whole chicken cut into 8, family chips, large peas. I said yes. I handed her my red rooster card she went to scan it then said she couldn’t it was off line. I paid her & waited another 5 minutes for my order. I asked if everything was in there & she said yes. When I got home I had in bag whole chicken, large chips, large peas. I was so bloody angry that chicken was not cut up like I asked & only got large chips instead of family size. This isn’t the first time my order was stuffed up at this red rooster. Never going back 😡😡 Up Date Got a reply from owner asking me to provide my contact details on there web site. I left my details as well as uploaded the complaint & answer but looking at other complaints it seems this is the same reply to every complaint you get from the store. Haven’t heard from a manger as yet. Don’t go to this store. Young staff that don’t care about customer service & can’t get the order correct. Guess management are the same very...
