Ordered the Thai Chilli Prawns, and apparently the chef's take on this is pouring what could have been, supermarket bought sweet chilli sauce from a bottle over overcooked and rubbery prawns. I was told from the purported duty manager, that that was the chef's take on Thai Chilli Prawns, no mention about them being completely overcooked. Believe me, the menu should say Sweet Chilli Prawns as that is all it was. To top it off, I was met with a appalling display from a duty manager who should not be given that privilege of holding that position. Will not be eating at the restaurant again - will not be wasting my hard earned money on a poor excuse of a meal to be met with even poorer service when bringing the very disappointing meal to their attention. All I was met with was attitude and to be offered a coffee or a cake when all you really want is "we're really sorry that you did not enjoy that, please let us make that up to you by offering you another meal at another time where we hope to make your experience better". My son plays at the rugby league club which shares the same name, but I would prefer to spend my money elsewhere. Horrible experience!!!
After reading a response (below) from the "Management" on a previous review, it is very evident why the duty manager on the night in question would feel it was appropriate to speak to a customer in this manner. If this is what I can expect as a response from the "Management" it is not necessary and I will take my business elsewhere happily and will make sure I tell as many people as I can to not bother wasting their money at your establishment. Remember, a happy customer will tell maybe 1 person, a customer who has received a horrible meal and even worse service, will tell many more.
This response is appalling!! "I would like to bring to your attention that we received a lot of complaints from patrons regarding your behaviour in the restaurant that night. You were aggressive, verbally abusive and totally out of line towards our friendly staff who are always obliging and accommodating to fix errors with any meals. Our staff have had to endure many complaints and abuse during COVID 19 with checking in, wearing of masks and more Government regulations asking us too enforce these rules . These are testing times and our establishment will not tolerate this behaviour directed at our staff over a meal that was in the process of being fixed. Waited on the table, bell rung and picked up our food, it was calamari and carbonarra. So i was confused if it was mine because that is not my order. They pushed the food to me and said those are mine. I said I did not order calamari, i ordered garlic prawns. The lady said NO you ordered calamari.i even waved at the cashier lady that I need help. That i ordered garlic prawns. They just looked at each other and insisted that i ordered calamari. Yes , probably that is on the order reciept , because the cashier punched on that order because she didn’t probably heard it correctly. Read moreStaff: Man came to me and said Dogs can't be here even tho my assistance dog was in a BRIGHT YELLOW and purple vest with ID card attached. Instead of accusing people straight away change your choice of words but ASKING "Is this an assistance dog?" Then if they say no then you can say no dogs allowed.
Kitchen: Don't get the chilli prawn pasta unless you want something chilli overpowering (not complimenting), dry, and no other flavour minus chilli. I swaped capers for olives which gave it the only flavour I went back to kitchen and said it's too dry please add WHITE SAUCE on top and they just added more chilli oil liquid so not what I asked and it stayed dry and not enjoyable other members on table tried and agree too much chilli no flavour and too dry. $13 kid meal for a basic maccas style cheeseburger and chips very over priced my kid doesn't eat icecream or have soft drink. No juice option just sugar soft drink only. Should have a non meal price too! Regret my choice of meals.
Also wasn't that wheelchair friendly when family member asked for a tray to put food on she is like "I only have a red one" as if colour matters a drink tray would have been fine.
