I usually come here as it has really good food and nice staff, usually we come in when the girl is there and she brings out tea and is super friendly.
but came in today she wasnt in, ordered a salmon and avo roll. Out came a tuna roll, I took it back and then the blonde haired guy argued with me and continued to carry this argument on saying, I said tuna roll when I never did as I don't eat tuna. As a customer it was a pretty confronting situation which was ultimately a bad experience I didn't deserve the poor attitude and the wrong accusation trying to cover a mistake he made, and after this I probably won't be coming back.
To top it off he didn't bring out the tea.

There would not of been an issue if the plate had been taken back and the right thing had been made, I knew after i seen the mistake of the tuna roll that I had to pay an extra dollar which i did straight away, this is not the issue...
the issue is that you repeated around 5 times in a firm stand off way saying it was your mistake you asked for the wrong thing.
you didn't even take the plate off me, i put the plate behind the cash register
I suffer from mental illness and the last thing i want is conflict, i just wanted the right thing so i could sit down and eat, all you had to do was fix the error, and instead you carried on.
yes i did give you a thumbs up and i didn't ask for more sauce or anything from you because I didn't want to deal with your attitude anymore, I didn't know how you were going to react and I didn't want the same reaction you gave me at the start.
how can you not understand that you need to respect the customer in order to get respect back.
mistakes happen, and yes they can be fixed, it's just the attitude in the response doesn't need to exist, stay calm and fix it, and you wont ever find yourself in this situation again.
I hate confrontations, so i'm not as you say going to "step up" for another confrontation.
if you clearly understood what happened today you would understand why this post is here. Negative comments like this wouldn't exist if things...
Read moreAlways loved ordering from Koharu. The meals have always been fantastic until tonight. I ordered the Karaage Chicken Donburi bowl. I was told it would be a 30 min wait which I was fine with even though other customers were not including one lady who asked for her money back. I got home with my meal and opened the karaage chicken (8 pieces) all burnt and blackened. I tried to still eat 2 pieces but the burnt taste just overtook it. So disappointed that I won’t be returning. I wasn’t going to get back in my car and drive back after waiting so long and hearing them on the phone to customers while I was waiting that the wait time was now 40 plus mins. Ended up throwing it all in the bin. Very disappointed. Took a photo just incase Koharu see this...
Read moreWe moved to the neighborhood three or four years ago and only recently discovered this little Japanese restaurant. We were absolutely amazed by the flavors. After chatting with the staff, we found out that the head chef had worked in Japan for many years.
I used to work in Japanese restaurants in Australia for 10 years, and I never expected such a small local place to deliver food at the level of a high-end Japanese restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been.
The staff are very friendly, and even my 6-year-old daughter—who is usually a picky eater—ate a lot and told me it was so delicious she wants to...
