Upon arrival we had to sign, just one person, allegedly due to COVID-19. We should not let this to become commonplace. We can't even go anywhere now without registration?
The big fella walked us to our table (I still don't know if he was a waiter or the owner or what, but he was weird). The rest of the staff were OK.
We ordered mains and entrees as well. The starters arrived pretty quickly, they tasted good and were a reasonable portion. However, we had to wait a substantial amount of time for the mains, a lot of people who arrived after us got their mains before us. We ordered a Bombay potato, a Fish Curry and a Chicken curry, with two bowls of rice and two garlic naans. To me the portions seemed under average size, I could easily have eaten two of the Bombay Potatoes myself. I know this is relative, so it might be perfectly fine for others. At any rate, back to the Bombay Potatoes, they were excellent. Right texture and spicing. On the other hand it seemed that the curries were burnt a little somehow. They were different curries and yet I could feel the same smokey-burnt taste on both, I don't think it was the spicing ( I might be wrong, but I never experienced anything even close to this, and I have eaten at many indian places before). Therefore, this wasn't my best curry experience.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about the place and don't think that I will return. I don't want to be unfair though, I detailed the pros and cons as well in the preceding chapters. You make up your own minds based on this and other reviews whether you'd like to try this...
Read moreI love Indian food. We had ordered delivery previously having never been in-person. For our 3rd anniversary my boyfriend reserved a table for us at the restaurant. It was simply amazing and I was wowed by the display outside with the red carpet and velvet hook (you probably know wha I’m talking about). The staff gave us a complimentary drink and even went out of the way to put small red heart confetti on the table, I loved it. The staff was very friendly and very charming making us feel very comfortable, personally I don’t think I’ve had such amazing service. The interior was very nice with the bar lit by a blue LED light. There was a rectangular fish tank with gold fish inside doing their own little thing. The starter platter that we ordered was beautiful and paired perfectly with (I believe mint) sauce. We ordered food which came out just amazing. We were asked if we needed time in-between the starter and the main, I thought this was very sweet and believe all restaurants should do this. My boyfriend ordered a glass of moscato for me—it was one of the best wines I have ever had the complimentary drink was just as high in quality. We will definitely be coming back and we both highly recommend this amazing...
Read moreAfter hearing a couple friends talk about this place, decided to give it a go. Staff was friendly and open to joke around a bit. When I asked about certain menu items and their ingredients they were knowledgeable, and when they were unsure, had the humility and patience to run back and ask the chef. (Extra points for doing this guys...) I had to customize my order a bit and they were willing to accommodate for a couple extra bucks, but since I had expected this it wasn't a big deal. Indian food is a tricky cuisine to get right, but when it's done correctly... Excuse me. Days later and I'm still drooling on my screen thinking about the food. The rice (easily overlooked but important nonetheless) was light, moist and fluffy. Freshly baked naan was such a treat, one I had only just realized that I missed so much. But what I keep coming back to is the curries. Explosive flavors with a wonderful subtilty of various spices and aromas. Portioning was generous although I probably could've used a bit more rice. Definitely getting extra next time. I will be coming back. Food and service was WAY too...
