We were served by two waitresses, the blonde one was quite abrasive, maybe needs some lessons on politeness, however the second waitress (her name was Courtney) was so lovely and bubbly and welcoming. Where the first waitress would put the food down and walk away immediately without saying anything to us, Courtney would engage with us and ask us if there was anything else, how we were today, ect. She really seemed like she was so happy and genuinely happy to have us there. I would come back specifically to be served by Courtney 100%.
Chocolate pancakes: Came with a chocolate mouse that was a little gross and not sweet at all. All that I could taste was the Cocoa, perhaps a different brand might be a better choice? Pancakes were small, but filling! The presentation is stacked, and originally I felt a bit ripped off, but after taking the pancakes off one by one I realised there were actually a lot of pancakes. Perhaps spreading them out rather than stacking them would be more effective. I would have also liked more strawberries, as they were teeny tiny but yummy. I would recommend this to anyone who likes chocolate.
Chips were amazing, cooked well, crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle. The aoli sauce was also good, very unique compared to other aoli’s I’ve seen in restaurants and cafes before.
Iced chocolate (almond milk) unfortunately was not cold, still warm and didn’t have any ice in it. I had to ask Courtney for ice in the drink, which she very kindly got me. Once it was cold it was very enjoyable.
My partners meal was rejected, and we were told by the first waitress to order something else. It was a little bit strange to be told we need to order something else rather than ask if we would like a replacement meal, but they refunded the whole order so no harm done I guess. Ordered the steak sandwich. Took a long time to come out, even people who had ordered after us got theirs first. The sauce was a but overpowering, and there was a lot of it on there too. There wasn’t a whole lot of steak on the actual sandwich. The bread was nice and fresh and overall a very filling meal. Came with chips which were...
Read moreToday I ordered a steak sandwich at StellaRossa Nerang. I asked the gentleman at the counter for a recommendation, but he said he wasn’t sure because he was Mediterranean. So he went and found someone else to assist me.
The lady then suggested the Spectacular Steak Sanga. I told her I didn’t like caramelised onions and asked to have them on the side. She said that was fine.
When I came back for my food, I was surprised to receive a plate with the bread, chips, and the meat served separately, like I was supposed to assemble the sandwich myself. Confused, I told her I didn’t understand what this was. She replied, “Oh, you said you wanted the caramelised onion on the side, so it is.”
But the caramelised onion wasn’t simply on the side. It had been cooked together with the meat, and both were diced into small cubes. At no point did she mention that the meat and onion were cooked together and couldn’t be separated. If she had told me that, I would’ve definitely ordered something else, because I had already told her I don’t like caramelised onions.
Also, when you order a steak sandwich, you expect an actual piece of steak, not chopped beef mixed with onion.
I think she realised how strange the situation was, because she offered to “put the meat back in the sandwich.” I just said, “No, thank you, I’ll do it myself.”
Honestly, I only accepted the plate because I didn’t have much time for lunch. Otherwise, I would’ve sent it back. Visually and conceptually, this was not a steak sandwich. And I was charged $21 for this!
Disappointing...
Read moreI’d like to share my experience with you I’m a very regular customer at Nerang And today To say I was disappointed is a understatement I ordered off the QR code 2 coffees and 2 breakfasts to the value of $65 We received our coffees in mugs 20 minutes later after 40 minutes I thought I’d better check where are meals were and they were sitting under the heat lamp cold in takeaway boxes so I asked for them to be sorted and sent out to us they argued that it was a takeaway order but delivered our coffees in mugs to our table so our meals were to be cooked again as they had been sitting for a long time 20 minutes after the 40 minutes we were still waiting for our meal There was a table that came in half an hour after us and we’re eating before we were eating when the food arrived it was still cold and like it had just been heated up out of the takeaway box after an hour of Waiting and we finally got our meals it was highly disappointing we had to order extra drinks as our coffees had been long drunk I don’t know what I’m trying to gain out of this email but waiting one hour for a breakfast when they were not busy at all is really poor customer service and trying to tell me that I ordered takeaway when I clearly used the QR code on the table If I had ordered takeaway then why would coffee is delivered to me in a mug at the table I kind of feel that the staff were just trying to brush off that this was my fault Highly disappointed from a business that I use regularly to receive this...
