Just been overcharged and didn’t get what I paid for. Three fish bites are five for a dollar, but I had to pay six because they run out I needed to cook fresh. Like that’s my fault somehow. Then I get given 2 fish bites and a refried piece of all yellow fish and when I take it back I get an argument, no refund no extra piece of fish and told them if I want a replacement I will have to pay for it Last time I went past the proprietor was cooking and serving with a toddler in a nappy on her hip. Serving size was huge. Purchased 6 pieces of battered Hoki and $10 worth of chips. Could not eat it all - not even close. Chips were fantastic !! Non greasy, crispy, potatoey and tasty. Unfortunately the fish was terrible. Batter was so over cooked it made the fish SO dry. 2 pieces went in the bin. :(. Good serving of lemon. Sorry but will only be back for the chips. Finally , a potato scallop that isn't homemade! Homemade ones are horrible ! These ones are so good, crisp light batter and soft potato inside not a hard slide of potato with thick batter like other places. Chips are delicious and light, crispy once again, not dark and oily , a little bit too much salt but otherwise great !!! And good serving sizes too. Will be back and must try the fresh fish !
