Sushi Hyo — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

The food is good (a bit overpriced but still good). The atmosphere was great and the workers were nice. A big problem is that we were overcharged by at least $17(if not more) I don’t know if this was intentional or not. If it was not intentional, I am still disappointed because I expected fair pricing, not a careless mistake that makes me lose money. If this was intentional, I am very dissatisfied that you have betrayed the trust of your customers. 8 plates and 2 $4 drinks does not equal $70. My mum had two plates, one grey and one blue, making hers $12. My sister and I did not get any plates above $5.5, we both got three plates, making the price $16.5 each (at most, we most likely spent less)and we got two $4 dollar drinks. Adding this up the price would be $53 (AT MOST) although we paid $17 more than the calculated price. I do hope this is an honest mistake, although other people I’ve talked to have also expressed that they feel that they too have once been overcharged when...

The worst restaurant ever. The mananger is so rude. We were told not to order any more at 7:39pm which is fine. And I got my last plate, a crab claw hot at 7:48pm. My son couldn't eat it straight because too hot and was waiting it to cool down a bit. The waitress told me to leave straight at 7:50pm. I said I need to talk to the manager because I only just got the last plate 2 mins ago and the restaurant is suppose to close at 8pm. Manager never came and the waitress ask us to leave THREE times in 5 mins while my son is trying to finish the last plate and the waitress did not even count the number of plates for bill first. My son finished his last plate at 7:55pm and we paid our bill at 7.56pm. There is another table which has 2 customers at the same time and they never been told to leave. I will never go back...

I have been here several times now as this is the only sushi place I've come across with just chicken in their sushi (others only usually have crumbed) and the thick Teriyaki sauce. The rice isn't sticky enough most times and the rolls come undone making it hard to eat the sushi. But tastes yum. The Teriyaki chicken (hot meal) I've had a few times and it's a delicious flavour but the chicken is always overcooked and chewy as if it's been cooked....and they have reheated it up for your order. But overall...it's tasty and I'll keep going back because its close by.

** Things have changed since the review. The sushi rolls seems smaller. I got it takeaway and thought they made a mistake and given me the mini roll size...but they hadn't...they were very small normal size. Not what they used to be...
