I've been a regular customer for years but I can't believe the service I've just received from this shop tonight. This is around 7pm on 26 April 2020, a male serving at the restaurant is rude and inconsiderate. Firstly I tried to make custom orders and not to take from the train, he doesn't like it which is strange, he started to walk away before I finish my order as I want to think a few seconds more before I finish my order. But he walked away to the kitchen which I thought I would stop my order. Second, I ask for chopsticks, soy sauce and fresh wasabi. I ordered 6 serves of sushi and it is at least serving 2 people, this man gave me only 1 chopstick, 3 small packs of soy sauce and refuse to give me fresh wasabi which I get everytime from this chain. Fresh wasabi is actually the more decent wasabi that they make sushi with. Usually they have a tube which just squeeze to your take away box, not only it taste better but it is more environmental friendly than the small packs they give. I wanted to ask for more, but this man already walked away to serve others. I just didn't bother because I think he is giving a bad customer service intentionally. Get your act together sushi train, during these bad times some of your chains are already going down. I went to this shop because of your Broadbeach chain has closed down recently. If you continue like this with your customer service, you will lose more loyal customers like me. 0...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter selected a plate of spring rolls from the train. As it turns out they were stone cold and completely inedible. I mentioned it to the staff member as we was leaving and he told me that we should order them fresh if we like them hot, as some customers like them cold. Sounds like a recipe for food poisoning to me. But I said to him that was no worries and that we will make sure we do that in future. I then realised he wrote up all the plates on our ticket, including the cold spring rolls. I took the ticket to the front counter and mentioned it to the lady there. She gave me the same spiel about ordering fresh from the train. Again, I said no worries, we will do that in future. She then spent about 30-40 seconds ringing up different amounts and plates which did not seem to correlate with my order, but I just thought she was putting through the spring rolls and then marking them off so they would not be paid for. After I left, I realised she charged me way too much. Not only was I charged for all plates, I was charged extra. Dishonest and fraudulent behaviour from these people. Terrible, cold (and potentially dangerous) food. We...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG!! My kids and I have been eating here probably twice a month. They love sushi but all Sushi Trains arenāt equals!! My son just had his birthday at iFly in Surfers but given my job being a natural parenting magazine,. I wanted a fresh, healthy lunch for our iFly party. The main page gives you party platter options.. I wanted them.. but when you try to order from your location.. including mine.. no can do! I called their head office, every Sushi Train in the surrounding area.. no go. Painful mixed language convo. 24 hours out to my sons birthday that was being filmed for work and I decided to call Varsity.. my local. Corey spoke perfect English and understood what I needed. Corey!!! Thank you thank you thank you. The food was absolutely amazing. I know you had conversations to deliver the platters.. not physically.. but actually make them for my mum to pick up.. you are a super star!!! The kids and parents loved it and you were right. It was enough for everyone....
