With a name like this you'd expect it to be an average little pizza bar, where they claim to make Italian food but just make average pizza and pasta. But we were wrong. We started with the oysters, which were nothing special but nothing says middle class like kilpatric oysters. We also got the zucchini, can't remember what they called it but was a rad starter a little different taste. For mains we had a seafood pizza and the creamy mushroom pasta. The pizza was cooked in a wood oven, had a thin base with a surprisingly good amount of Prawns, The pasta was unreal, creamy, rich with flavour, nice amount of saltiness. Also this place is byo with $6 corkage per person and there is a bottle'O in the same block of shops. So get a few bottles and tip a few wines down. Flavour 8/10 Value 6.5/10 Ambiance 6/10 we even had to sit inside and was still a good time.

I had the pleasure of dining at That’s Amore last night, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible. I started with the mushroom arancini and the cheesy focaccia followed by the fettuccine carbonara. The flavors were so fresh, and you could tell the ingredients were high quality. What truly stood out, though, was the outstanding service from Electra. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. She took the time to recommend her favourite items and offer the specials. Her genuine enthusiasm for both the food and the experience made the evening even more special. If you're looking for great Italian food paired with service, That’s Amore is the place to go.

Anyone that's knows me knows that I love/lust Italian Food and That's Amore is one of our favourite restaurants. If you haven't already been you must go, it's hidden in the back streets of Miami in suburbia. It's the perfect spot for date night, super cute, intimate restaurant with fairy lights and inside & outdoor options šŸ˜ and the service is amazing. I'll give you a tip too, if you go onto the first table app you can get your meal half price šŸ˜‰ #hack #datenight #restaurants #Italian #foodlover #foodblogger #foodstagram #food #diningout #datenightideas #goldcoast #review #goldcoastreview

A very disappointing experience after been local, frequent customers over many years. Attended on a Tuesday night 08/07/25 for 6pm booking. Food was satisfactory but not of same quality as previous. The biggest issue was very sub-standard customer service. Arrived as group of 11 pre-booked. Restaurant was not overly busy with 3 other smaller tables. After 5 mins after been seated, I had to approach staff at counter to see if some water bottles could be provided. These were just handed to me instead of going to group & serving in each glass. As it was BYO wine, I brought 2 bottles of wine that waitress saw on our arrival. After 10 mins lapsed there was no offer for ice bucket for the white & glasses nor were any of the group asked if they would like drinks. I went back in & asked for a ice bucket that was handed to me with glasses brought out 2 mins later. 3 younger members of the group each wanted a cocktail that were not able to order until asking when mains were ordered. I ordered breads for the table when waitress asked about us ordering our mains. Several of the group were still looking at menu to which I replied "can we have a few minutes please". No one came out until the breads were provided 10 mins later. I then had to ask to have our order taken for mains. On each occasion of entering counter inside both young waitresses were on their phones including a chef who was no longer cooking. When mains arrived there was no salt or pepper on table. I went in & asked for these to which waitress just placed them on table instead of offering cracked pepper from shaker to be put on any meals - this is standard practice for any Italian Restaurant. After our meals our plates were not cleared from table for another 10 mins. There was complete lack of attentiveness to ourselves & other customers throughout the night. Basic customer service training was evidently lacking with no senior person staffed to mentor/supervise the younger staff rostered. We will not return to the Restaurant again...

Been coming to That's Amore for years & unfortunately the standard has gone down hill since the new owners took over. Our last few visits were not the best but gave them another visit on Friday & unfortunately left disappointed again, Our 2 pizzas were overcooked, dry & tasteless, they were like eating cardboard, my children didn’t even get through one slice each, Normally they demolish the pizzas, the ā€˜that’s Amore’ pasta sauce we order every time came out wrong & missing the cream in the sauce & went we told staff they tried justifying that it’s always like that, it was missing the cream in the sauce & it clearly states ā€˜creamy tomato sauce’ on the menu, they took it away and through some cream in the mix but it still wasn’t the same & then the lasagna was still frozen in the middle which they didn’t care about when we told them but said they would rectify that on the bill but when we paid they didn’t care or apologise about the frozen lasagna when we paid the bill 🫤 …. Was a very unsatisfied and disappointing meal & really felt we wasted our money. Also on a side note I’m sick of having to do my own order on an iPad when I go to restaurants, every time our food order is delayed cause we need to wait for a waiters assistance. You have enough staff standing around to just take a tables order which in return would give the customers a bit more of a friendlier experience. I understand when the restaurant is busy it’s an easy thing to manage orders but when we were the only table in the restaurant it wouldn’t hurt to have a waiter take the order. Also many elderly people find these annoying.

Sorry but I think you’ve lost us for good as customers....

The venue is nice for a small suburban restaurant (we picked up takeaway), but the food was just okay. The broccolini was the highlight, well cooked but firm, with a sprinkling of toasted almond flakes. The garlic bread was disappointing. The picture on the online ordering platform (embedded to their webpage) made it look like lovely triangles of garlic slices, but it was just a sad, limp stick like Domino's. Similarly, the pizza (Gourmet Veg) looked lush, and generously topped. However, it was mostly mozzarella, with scant pumpkin to be found. We paid extra to have chicken on it, and I'm glad we did or it would have looked bare. It also didn't have the pine nuts as advertised, instead it had pepitas (weird choice flavour wise, I would have preferred nothing). Overall, it was a pretty depressing welcome to our Gold Coast holiday, and soured my evening after a long day of travelling and looking forward to something nice to eat. Maybe it was an off night, but I can't afford to give them a...
