Great local little place to grab a coffee- their offerings on breads and cakes are good They have a sandwich bar which is fresh- the cakes are to be expected Australian style bakery from cream to pastries I couldn’t recommend the pies or sausage rolls, rather dry and tasteless Would suggest they get out and about and compare local bakeries and the options Better still - Yatla pies are not that far away- would be a selling point to order from them and pick up on the other sales of cakes and drinks Good place for afternoon tea or a sneaky cake

Ordered a croque Madame toasties Among my usual chicken/salad sandwich, a vanilla slice and the toasty was absolutely appalling! I couldn’t even peel the half off the cardboard box container it came in, It was utterly slop and what was a “toasted piece of bread” was mushed and stuck to the cardboard as well as missing sun-dried tomatoes and only half an egg. This place is only 3.4km from my house. It wasn’t the delivery drivers fault. I was a regular but think that could be the last time I order any food from this place again.

While the cake we ordered was significantly inexpensive, communication was very poor after payment was made. Only received a “Thank you” message after sending the proof of payment and they haven’t confirmed key details (time of delivery, venue contact etc). Sent them few messages to ask for confirmation and only got a word on Oct 29 and was told they will get in contact early the following week however we again never received any communication from them until even the day before the event so we called them to ask if they need any other details from us as the event is the next day already only to be told they are still “waiting for the Pastry Chef” then they asked for the Venue Contact Details. That’s only the time that they had called our coordinator but Gosh had we not called what could had happened? Then few minutes after the call, they sent us a message saying they’re missing a payment and need us to settle the balance (which I am very confident that there’s no way we missed it) so I had to go back to transactions and search the payments made to them to which they then confirmed that they received it. We’re all for supporting local business however the entire experience wasn’t pleasant. So hopefully this review can help (and we’re only hoping they’ll take this as an opportunity to improve) as we are writing this with the intention that they’d be able to improve in this area of their business. As for the taste of the cake, We couldn’t say it’s good or not as we weren’t even able to eat it. There’s lots of left overs tho so hopefully it’s not because of it not tasting good but because our guests were full from the...

Visit 27/09/2025 Jo is consistently outstanding. Her professionalism, warmth, and meticulous care in ensuring my husband’s specific dietary requirements are met are truly exceptional. The level of service she provides is second to none. Quite honestly, if it weren’t for Jo at the Paradise Point Bakery, we would be hesitant to return. She is an absolute credit to your team—nothing is ever too much trouble, and her kindness never goes unnoticed. Thank you Jo. Debbie and Grant.

We chanced upon the Mill Bakery when we were on the Gold Coast Monday 1st July. My husband being Coeliac always struggles to find a bakery that can cater for him. The Mill bakery exceeded his expectations, not only with the bread and food as whole quality but the care and consideration the Jo and the staff took to help. This is a breath of fresh air as in Qld most food outlets fall short of these qualities. Or the food on offer is of inferior quality and or reluctant to help. Highly recommend the Mill Bakery and will certainly return when on the GC. Visited again 21/01/25 fantastic as ever, Jo is such a kind and caring person, so respectful of my husband's dietary requirements. Brilliant on all counts. We visited again based on our previous experience Jo and her exceptional service is a testament to the hard work and commitment she puts into her role. Outstanding, including the the team and quality of everything we had on numerous occasions over...

The most disappointing cake I ever had. I wanted something truly special for my 60th Birthday party and paid $280 for a cake that: melted; flopped; was missing the gold cake topper; had an unexpected cardboard cone shaped with masking tape in the middle of it; plus the toffee was overcooked and tasted bitter. The chef at the venue where I held my party, attempted to save it however it was beyond repair. People at my party also commented on the "unusual" design and flavour of the cake (my guests were being polite). The venue forwarded a complaint on my behalf to The Mill Bakery and requested a full refund to to be paid back to me. The Mill Bakery agreed to a partial refund of $100.00 (The Mill Bakery also advised that I was only entitled to a partial refund due to the fact that I had decided not to pay the additional $78.50 delivery fee. Please note that they never previously advised that if I didn't pay the delivery fee my cake would be at risk during transit. Please also note: the cake was not even fully enclosed or protected in a box.). Over 5 weeks on and I still have not received the said partial refund. I will never recommend them nor will the venue. Please also bear in mind, I don't normally post a revue unless it is a positive one so this, for me, is...
