Verandah Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Started off good with great service and the food was ok but when u go through three different waiters not clearing yr entree plates before main being served and wanting u to keep yr entree cutlery and saying they would book downstairs restaurant for you but the thing that bothered me more is sometimes feeling your put before club members it was a really hot day air con on and 3 fans all over one table I get I a bit much on one table so yes turns the fans or some of them off that table but they asked for the air to go off and then the fans as well and the waiter did say he just turned off the air but they wanted the fans off as well but u can imagine when it all goes off it is stale n stuffy n hot but we felt not to say anything if they thought about the other guest they wouldn’t hve turned it all off . I don’t review very often n will try again but people need to think of all their guest not just the ones that seem to hve money we are on holidays as well and are spending the same money...

Staff were friendly and good service but the food was very average especially for the price. We’re staying at the intercontinental and it has been a great stay but this restaurant has let us down. I ordered the prawn and mussel pasta and 4 of 5 mussels were closed on service. The waiter was so kind to offer a new meal but it appeared the pasta that was brought back was the same just with new mussels. By the time the new mussels had been cooked the pasta had turned quite gluggy. They offered a free drink for the trouble but as I was drinking non alcoholic beverages I really don’t think it was a balanced compensation. Don’t...

The food was really flavoursome and if you like lemon tart, this one will delight. I had the fettucini with mussels and prawns, really so good, only a suggestion get a new seafood supplier, the mussels were very tiny. We'll be back again though. Four stars as the restaurant chairs could do with some new seat covers, they're very marked and for an upmarket restaurant it was a bit surprising.
