IGA Sanctuary Cove — Local services in Gold Coast City

This afternoon our family walked into your IGA to buy some drinks and noticed a sandal stand near the drinks fridge (I’m sure you have CCTV cameras and can check for yourselves) and my sister in law noticed that the sandals were the same as the shoes I had on. She remarked, “These are the same as your sandals. They are $54.”

Then walked on got drinks and a pastry and went to pay. At the cashier, the girl with the nose ring, didn’t get her name asked me “did you just put those sandals on?”, to which I replied “No.” proceeded to take my shoe off show her

And your employee said, “Yes you did!”

Then asked us to wait so she could go get Sam who is the person we believe accused us in the first place.

Not only did they accuse us of something that didn’t happen but remained defensive. I took my sandal off again which was a completely different brand and the shoe was well worn too.

It’s human to suspect someone may have stolen something but to accuse them with no proof whatsoever and be so rude to customers is a testament to the culture.

Our hope that this will not be the experience for anyone else in future and that your staff are trained on how to communicate with customers.

I can only imagine that this would not serve your business...

Was there yesterday and noticed a small fridge PACKED with “lunchbox pizza bases”. noticed they were all extremely mouldy and told one of the staff. was instructed to put it back and told that people will by them???? We then noticed other customers looking to by them, noticing the mould and leaving the store all together. Staff guy was rude, maybe because we were students im not sure, telling us to put back the mouldy product is just something else.

You guys deliberately sell mouldy products, honestly foul👎👎👎👎

I can’t believe the level of service Andrew the manager has given me personally. He has gone above and beyond to get various food items in. His attitude never changes. Always professional and tries his utmost to do everything he can to get new food lines in - and then delivers whenever possible.

I really want to support this store to help it grow. Everybody here is benefiting from the attitude of the management. The staff are very efficient and also try and help. I will continue to keep going back as they deserve...
