Dragon Cove Chinese Cuisine — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Tonight 13th November 2021 its off to the Dragon Cove down at Sanctuary Cove Qld for the 3rd time but this time with some friends. This is going to be a short review as you can see from our previous reviews this place is a Restaurant to give a go.

Meals we had tonight were the Entrée Prawn Toast with real prawns on top, Aussie favourite Lemon Chicken, Peking eye fillet steak, Honey king prawns, Nutty prawns and special fried rice $216 for four with drinks. Same as usual cannot fault the service and the meals were great so it will be a short review.

The only thing I can gripe about the Lemon chicken, it was quite sweet more than other places we have tried.

Pokies ………………………No Overall: Good, relaxing, great views of the boats on the water and great service, give it a go.

Second review 26/4/21, time to give it a second go seeing it was so good last time. And again it failed to dissapoint, service was exceptional, meals were fantastic and the overall experience was fanatastic.

Would we go back........A big yes on that one.

Review 1 Service 10 can't fault it, I can't remember the last time I did not have to find a waiter to get a drink right on you every time. Food 10 do yourself a favor give the place a go so spacious and clean.

We have been very loyal customers to Dragon Cove for many years now. Unfortunately it pains me to say the service this time around was extremely poor and unprofessional. We had multiple orders that were incorrect when brought to the table and drinks that were forgotten to be brought out for extended periods of time. We noticed there was a booking in the ‘private room’ and it was very evident that all staff were prioritising this group before all other customers. My mother had waited 45 minutes for a Chardonnay and our table was walked past multiple times by staff on the way to the Private room, on the way back past our table we would continuously remind the staff but still no Chardonnay. My mother ended up cancelling her order as she was sick and tired of waiting for the Chardonnay. Extremely dissatisfied with the unprofessional service from Dragon Cove. Whether you have a booking in the private room, are loyal customers for years like we have been or are a first time customer, we are all paying customers and therefore should be treated equally. We hope to notice a difference in the service if ever we decide to return to dragon cove after this...

I have ordered take away from here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed in the food , so I thought this would be a great place to celebrate my daughters birthday. How wrong was I !! I have eaten in many restaurants all over the world and can honestly say I have never experienced such poor service. Our table was booked for 7’pm for a table of 8 and we were out by 8.30 , this is supposed to be banquet style dining, we had starters & mains . We never got offered dessert or any other drinks we didn’t even get to do birthday cake , we took it back home with us or the opportunity to give birthday presents. We had to ask for service of water, drinks & food . When our waiter took our order he leaned himself up against the pillar. I was embarrassed as I was the one who made the booking . I will never be back and can not recommend this restaurant. I am am so very disappointed. It’s not cheap & to be in & out in 1 hr &30 minutes is definitely not what I was expecting, they literally were turning out the lights as we wet putting on...
