Bistro 19 — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Quite disappointed really as the cafe was only at around 50% capacity but yet a lot of tables were not cleared &/or cleaned....although the array of pigeons were doing their best to assist. (😳 A great health & safety advertisement right there!).

We only had a simple order, coffee & a snack, however we still had to wait 30 minutes before the coffee arrived ....minus the snack 😞we then had to remind a staff member in regards to our order. Seems that it had been forgotten about 😔.... therefore had to wait longer. Our table still ladened with the previous customers leftovers & not yet cleared by staff, who had already passed by our table at least 4 times, and there were plenty of them! Seems hospitality training does not encompass this task any longer. As we had also noticed that although empty tables were not being cleared & cleaned... tables that were still occupied were being cleared from customers who some had finished eating & yet others at the table were still eating at the same time!! Went for brekkie... food was awesome... so so tasty! And well priced... can't fault it! Definitely worth a visit. That said, unless you drink coffee... I found the other beverages quite expensive. A milkshake is around $9 and comes in a parfait glass which deceivingly doesn't actually hold a lot of liquid despite being tall. Orange juice was $10! Just a bit out of my price range- most expensive brekky drinks I've seen... I left thirsty. I hope they reconsider the beverage list. Well worth going for the food though.

Maybe just update the pics on your QR table menu as they don't align with what you have just described (I.e. milkshake is shown in a parfait glass). That's what threw me off ordering. Also, I was unable to see the other juice option you described on QR menu. Cheers!!...

Bistro 19 is superb, air conditioned and dog friendly in the dog section. Living in Sanctuary Cove over the past 4 years has resulted in our family patronising Bistro 19 a lot. We go for breakfast and lunch because they close at 2:00 pm. Bistro 19 is spotlessly clean, the food is brilliant and the service is personal and special. Being fully air-conditioned it makes Bistro 19 a perfect choice in hot summer days and also in the midst of winter. The lemon perch fish and salad meal today was amazingly fresh and tasty, and also great value. I would fully recommend anyone to attend this restaurant. I also have client meetings in Bistro 19 to introduce outsiders to The Cove lifestyle. The buggy experience, gold and of course, everyone has a white dog.
