Zambrero Nerang — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

It has asked me to describe my experience and I have to unfortunately say nothing but poor and disappointing. Opening hours state that this store closed at 10pm. I entered the drive thought at 9.50 to receive an automated voice stating that the store was in fact closed. I approached the window where customers pay to have staff walk away with no greeting or explanation on why the store was closed 10 minutes early.

I than drove around to the front of the premises to try and walk in and had both staff members look at me as I exited my vehicle than walk out the back again with no explanation as to why they are closed 10 minutes early. This unfortunately was my first experience with this company and will be my last and I will tell anyone and everyone I know that they should not support this business as there customer service is incredibly poor and Un professional. Zambrero Narang will never be visited by myself nor anyone I can convince that this is a poorly run and managed business. The lady on the monitor was nice when i pulled up

I requested no jalapenos on the lamb burrito (my wifes) And jalapenos on the beef burrito (mine) They did the opposite, and my wife ended up with a burrito she didn’t enjoy very much because the jalapenos burned her mouth And she had to try and pick the rest out.

The first lady told me it would be $26 total before i pulled up to the window where they said it was actually $34. I understand this was the correct price, and mistakes happen, but it was frustrating to be given one price at the monitor just to pay a higher one at the window.

My burrito wasnt as enjoyable as I’ve often had from zambreros. Maybe because in store they are more patient to go through the toppings selections so you get all of the flavours you want. The drive through was rushed. The girls there were nice, but i’d certainly recommend giving more attention to customer preferences.

I ordered nachos last night throu Uber Eats. Within an hour I was showing symptoms of food poisoning and became violently ill. I contacted them this morning to be told they checked all the logs and all food guidelines were followed. They said the symptoms came on too quickly to be food poisoning and I must have the stomach flu. I've had both before.. and I am pretty sure this was food poisoning . But they denied everything.. apologised for my experience but denied any responsibility. I'll report it to the Health Dept and let them investigate. I'll also add.. that after 3 diff groups of friend heard what happened.. they told me that none of them wd ever eat there because the reputation was so bad. Wished I had known this first.
