The friendly laughing staff are a real plus. It is so nice to feel welcomed and wanted when you go into a shop and many could learn from that mention. I have given a 5 review because like many places, there are some nice things and not so nice things. But overall, the staff are fantastic...stop laughing and serve me...ha ha and the smoked fish pie is a wonder. The veggie pie is great too and my son loved the mince and cheese pie. Ginger crunch, a NZ classic....well that is open to so many interpretations that how do you judge. It was beautiful but I am used to thinner and crunchier. So each to their own but the pies as mentioned were slobberlicious! Update; 13th July 2024
New premises next door gives some room to move and plenty of spaces to eat. Really hope it works out well as these people are so friendly and pleasant it is a shame you could not buy a bottle of it. The smoked fish pie is still a wonder. Consistently good and a welcome addition to what you can get aside from the standard meat pies.
7th September, 2025 Another visit to try something different. We tried the chicken and vegetable pies this time and a ginger crunch. The pies were very nice , great pastry but I was expecting chicken with veg and gravy rather than a white sauce. The veg pie we have had before is in a white sauce and that makes sense but chicken...not so sure. But still good. The ginger crunch was sort of like the best homemade ginger crunch you could make which is a real asset to me as it made it wholesome, filling and not too fancy. Excellent.
I love the thought they have given to getting customers in and out with a minimum of fuss. You line up, order what you want and then slide along the counter to pay and receive your order and then on your way. You are not fighting to be seen and heard and it seems to work very well. They are very busy but the servers all seem to keep a smile on their dials. Plenty of places out side in a covered area, to eat you pie if you are not...

Price point, you get what you paid for, Quality food hard to find.
Simply tried their pies and they have nailed it when it comes to flavour you can taste it unlike most bakeries that have similar tasting pies and thick bland pastry.
Best on the coast by miles, been years since I've had a good pie. Yatala pies had a reputation in the 90's for best pie. But these guys own it now.
You know if a bakery can make a good simple sausage roll which then sets the standard, and yeah they nailed it, I did not require sauce as I loved every bite you can taste meat and the nicely made pastry.
There sweats, yeah. Once again they all have flavour and the right quantities and texture. There's simply love put into getting it right.
I only discovered this place in January, I've been living in Nerang for 5+ years. Popped up outta know where:)
Little kiwi Bakehouse has been highly recommended in the Facebook local community page is how I've...

Where do I start! 😍
If you want a big reminder of home and a full puku this is your spot! The aromas from the street is enough to make you wanna spend your entire pay check at this fine establishment! You can literally taste the mana and aroha put into all of their kai! Between my sister and I we bought half the shop (fatties i know 🤣) and it was all tino pai! The pies were hearty as more meat than nans freezer in these monsters! The service was awesome, cruzzy as ladies that are happy in their jobs which makes it all that much nicer and homely! Seen a few comments in regards to prices I can hand on heart say that for the experience your taste buds have you'd happily spend alot more than $8.50 for these pies, they are an absolute bargain in my opinion! For the hard work that goes into these recipes and the forever rising cost of produce they have absolutely nailed it price wise! I can't recommend this place any more! It's better than boil up after a bender! Hats off to everyone involved in this business!
