I’m not kidding and if there was a best ramen on the GC belt or whatever, this place would be hands down the champ. The entire ramen just works together and forms a beautiful bowl of art.
The Michelin ramen has one of the most in depth broths I’ve ever tasted where you can taste all the bases in the chicken, pork and fish. The noodles are handmade and cooked to a texture where there is bounce but not overcooked or doughy. My only critique would’ve been the chashu but when I went the second time it was already improved and better.
The tonkotsu and black tonkotsu are essentially the same except the black one has black garlic oil, and for the extra $1 I would recommend it if you love garlic and aromatics. The meaty and creamy bone broth is delicious and feels like a big warm hug… 😭
To end the meal (if you have room…) you need to try getting a bowl of steamed rice and eating it together with the leftover soup from your ramen. The steaming hot rice and the rich broth just work so well in creating the most delicious rice porridge you will ever taste.
If after reading this you still aren’t convinced I urge you to try...
Read moreFood : We love our ramen. Broth full of flavour, chasu well seasoned and tender. I might gonna add extra egg if they provide them next time. The Michelin ramen has a bit less of toppings but was decent portion overall. Chicken wing was on point. First impressions was, this wings has kid portion 😂 but when you had your first bite, its just gooood.
Service : everyone was really really really friendly. When you booked through website, you might want to call them just to check if your booking come through successfully.
Ambience : i never went to japan, but it does feels like Japanese kiosk. Warm with a touch of modern aesthetic.
Also they just opened less than 2 months, so bare with everything that could go...
Read moreHonest Review I was looking for a ramen that "just hit" the way that a good ramen should. From the texture of the noodles, to the creaminess of the broth, to the level of condiments that were attached and all boiled down (pardon the pun) if the service was up to standard.
I felt like I had walked into a Japanese ramen bar in a back alley in Tokyo and was treated to some of the most amazing broth and ramen that I have had in my life (ramen and noodles are a food group in my household).
My wife would be sick of me raving about it by now however hers (the Tonkotsu) was absolutely stunning as well. Thanks ZuroZuro. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. Ramen might be ruined everywhere...
