I bought a painting from this team when I visited and the experience was an issue from start to finish. I was visiting from the USA, was going to take the painting with me but they told me they could arrange postage and took 3 days to confirm what postage costs would be. Once confirmed I had to revisit as they kept spelling my email address wrong to send me the payment link.

Then three weeks later when I am back home in the USA I tried to get the postage details from them as I hadn't heard anything from their team only to learn that the item hadn't been posted. The store team blamed the head office team, the usual run around.

Eventually worked out that they hadn't actually spoken to Australia Post when quoting me postage rates, as they now couldn't post it. They were unable to find another company to do so and it ended in a refund. Not taking into account the international fees their screw up cost me.

The biggest issue is that after I gave them hundreds of dollars and trusted them to deliver on their promise they never contacted me again. It was always me having to chase them. Really disappointed with this experience, it doesn't take a lot to keep your customers updated and I wish that was all...

Wow! What a wholesome experience we had as a family for my mums 70th! As the weather wasn't favourable for some other outdoor activities, we made some last minute changes and decided to do the Walkabout Tour less than 30 minutes before it was scheduled to start. We hadn't bought our tickets yet and just showed up at the centre. Although we were told the tour was most likely not going ahead over the phone, brother Kailen went above and beyond and kindly accepted to take us on the tour even if it was just the 3 of us.

We were fully immersed and engaged from start to finish. It didn't feel anything like a service we paid for, it felt like we were taken on a journey into the paradise that is Kombumerri country. We all came away feeling emotional, enriched, even more connected, appreciative and with a better understanding of the land thanks to the passionate, proud and generous indigenous brother, Kailen.

Thank you so much for generously sharing your authentic heart, the stories and your knowledge with us Kailen! It was magical!

If you are visiting this area, don't miss out on the...

I'm a carer for my partner who's currently on dialysis and has a service dog which is a little griffon x pug and one of your workers who was on a school trip with kids following her told my partner to leave the national park because dogs aren't aloud after telling her it was a service dog and showing her the card that's under guide dogs Australia she then told me it should be wearing a vest after telling her it was wearing a vest and she's to little to see she then proceeded to yell at me and say in front of school kids "what does that dog even assist" I will be calling guide dogs Australia to get them to send out information and to better educate your staff on assistant and guide dogs especially when they should be taught when working at a national park anyway and when infront of children that would probably be learning and listening to everything this lady is saying to a person with an assistants dog not a very nice...

Today we did the guided tour with Kallen and he took our group of 6ppl around the Burleigh Heads. We met at the Jellurgal Aboriginal Centre and were shown an introduction video of the area and local indigenous peoples - Yugambeh, which was beautiful. From there, it was a short 5min walk to the Burleigh Heads entrance. Along the way we stopped about 5-6 times when Kallen shared the local knowledge of how things were, when the indigenous peoples lived here and the oral stories connected to the land. We applied some clay to ourselves which was quite cooling and soothing. What a beautiful living and breathing culture - thank you Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre :) We're new to the area and we recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in culture, art and nature

I came here for the exhibit itself, to learn about Aboriginal culture. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it’s very small (I wish it was a full-fledged large museum!), but they sure pack a lot into a small space to make it worth stopping in. First of all, it’s free! Second, a lot of beautiful, local, and native art adorns the walls. Third, great information panels on important historical figures that give perspective on the aboriginal experience. Fourth, a nice little faux-nature area with info about local wildlife. Lastly, plenty of cool local goodies to buy - from candles to backpacks to hand lotions! Highly recommended to spend an hour or two perusing everything and buying a trinket to support aboriginal culture and awareness.

If you have an interest in local culture this is the place to go. The staff are very friendly and informative giving a nice talk about the culture and local Aboriginal communities past present and emerging. We were very lucky to be able to tag along with a school group and hear directly from a community leader about the history as well as learning a dance and a few words. The coffee was very nice as well. I recommend doing the walk as the sights, flora and fauna are amazing. Thanks for a great experience.
