Poor Service to say the least. Front door was locked ( how inviting) placed order for drinks and meal and waited for 7 minutes without any water or ordered drinks to be served. The 'waiter' was stoned and was all over the place with his behaviour. I left at this point and informed the 3 staff of my disappointment. Not one apology, just a comment from drugged one, 'it was only 5 minutes. Yet other folks who arrived after me were served water, and their drinks served. I have told 21 other people about the poor service at this establishment, including the local Comfort Inn. I have just travelled across this broad country including other places to eat, and all of them were fantastic. Read moreBest pub meal I've had in a long time! Partner had the stuffed chicken breast which was delicious, she loved it! I had the porterhouse as unfortunately the ribeye was unavailable, however the steak was thick, juicy and cooked just to my liking, the chips were perfect and the steaks accompanying mushroom gravy was the best I've ever tasted!! Even the salad was amazing, fresh, crunchy with both dressing and just enough mayonnaise to add flavour but not drown everything. We finished off our meal with a serve each of the Bailey's irish cream baked cheese cake, which unsurprisingly, was also absolutely delicious! Service was fast and friendly, the pub nicely decorated with comfortable well spaced tables. Was a really nice night out in a lovely old style pub. We'll definitely be coming back!
Edit* .. And we did go back, this time I had the ribeye steak with sweet potato fries. Absolutely sensational! So glad we found this hidden gem...

Popped in expecting it to just be a standard pub but were delighted to find a really great wine beer list, great cocktails that the staff knew how to make properly and an inventive menu blending pub classics with modern Asian / Australian fusion. Hats off to the chef, everything that came out was delicious. The fried chicken with vinegar was perfection and to top it all off a few in our group go to relive their childhood with an Australian 80s classic with "lemon delicious" for dessert.
Staff were super friendly and dealt easily with our large group. Fitout is retro suburban / regional Australiana and there's also a heap of boardgames if you're just looking to while away a few hours...
