Not impressed at all. We choose this place due to its proximity to a park (20m away) and its good reviews. At least the foreshore park was still close. We arrived and ordered at around 2.30pm after a big morning at the dog beach. There were only a couple of other customers there, so we figured we had missed the lunch rush. I hoped that meant everything would be cooked fresh while we waited. I strongly doubt it was, or if it was it was overcooked and then cooked again. The photos unfortunately don't do it justice. We ordered a fishermans basket to share, with an extra prawn cutlet, garlic prawns for my eldest and a dagwood dog for me. I asked for the fish to be battered. Nearly everything was an unappealing dark brown colour. Overcooked, old oil or both. The chips were a fluorescent yellow. The garlic prawns looked like tinned prawns dipped and batter and then destroyed. No idea where any suggestion of garlic may have been hiding. We were missing the extra prawn cutlet (but this they did immediately rectify). The fish was disgusting. Horrible, soggy batter and an off white flesh colour. I suspect what we had been given was leftovers from the anticipated lunch rush that had been sitting in a Bain Marie for hours on end. Chips were soft and lukewarm but tolerable. Soooo much salt on everything. My son took his prawn cutlet over to the water bubbler near the gym equipment and washed it off. There was an old school slice of bread and butter included with the basket. I had hoped to make a chip Sanger (I'd even bought my own malt vinegar from home). No go. The bread was stale and warm. Not even the dogs would eat it (they also gave up on the chips after a couple). On a positive note, the small salad was ok and they provide wooden cutlery. Given the very few orders taken while we were there, I expected everything to be freshly cooked. Either this was not the case, or the cooks were having a really, really bad day. $30 not well spent and put a damper on what had been a good day. I cannot recommend this...

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ This was a few years ago when I first came to bribie island and lived 5 minutes away from The shop and would visit frequently with friends and family. The last two weekends I have bought meals for myself and my family and we are severely disappointed to say the least. I have ordered different meals and both times we threw almost $40 worth of food into the bin. The quality of the food has dropped 100 fold, it used to be a takeaway shop I would recommended to anyone who would listen but now I wouldn’t waste my breath or...
