La Vera Gourmet Pizza & Bar — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Pretty disappointed. My partners parents came over to Bribie and wanted to try out La Vera's after my recommendation. We all arrived at 8:02pm, walking across the road towards the entrance we heard the blonde middle aged waitress say "Are these people kidding me", we ignored and continued inside and asked for a table, she hesitated and asked the Chef if he could still cook for us and they both looked at the time and reluctantly decided yes, we then took a seat at a table outside and then heard her say to the chef "i just finished cleaning that table" and continued to talk loud enough for us to hear saying "they could of come half an hour earlier". She then came and placed some plates and menus on our table and my partners dad asked if she was happy to serve us because if you aren't we can leave and she said "Yeah but we just close at 8:30 and its in 25 minutes" i then said we checked online before coming and it says closing time is at 9pm. (we would have been out of there by then anyway). She went back inside while we decided on what we wanted, we could hear hear talking about us to the chef still loud enough for us to hear, we couldn't believe what was happening. When she returned to take our order we told her we were leaving we could clearly hear her talking about us inside and she sighed and said she cant control the hours, we said you can control your customer service though and we will be speaking to your manager, she then loudly said " oh are you kidding me" we walked back to the car and could hear her from the other side of the road complaining to the chef about us. Disappointed with this experience with the waitress, the owner is lovely and prides herself on good service and great food. This experience was just a let down. Food is amazing other times...

My partner has gone to eat his take away order which I ordered a chorizo linguine with no olives. He noticed olives all through the meal now making it inedible as they are very overpowering. I have just called the shop up and have spoken to Angela, who took my order, she has been very rude and said to me that because it's not written down I did not say it because she wrote down everything else that I had said (garlic base + no tomato on my pizza). She kept stating that I did not say it and when I said my partner sitting beside me even heard me say it she goes "of course he did" and makes a sly chuckle. After going back and forth of her suggesting I did not say I wanted no olives and her saying "what do you want me to do about it", she then proceeds to hang up on me. I just spent $50 at your takeaway and it is not the first time either. I'm very disappointed as I actually really enjoy the amanti carni but will now not have it again as I will not be back unless there is some sort of apology by the rude front counter girl, Angela. Disgraceful customer...

A really nice pizza joint, with great service, the pizzas we ordered did take about 20 mins but they were well worth the wait! And to be fair they were really busy that night too. They accommodated us last minute too without a booking which was such a great thing to do. I have alot of respect for places that make the time for you to enjoy their food.

I got the New Orleans pizza, and omg it was delicious, the pizza base isn't rock hard it was soft and doughy which was so nice! They weren't shy with the topping either!

The young fella that was working as the receptionist and waiter was an absolute LEGEND!

He was doing so much and was so efficient and polite! I hope he was getting paid overtime because bloody hell he deserves it 😂
