This family-friendly Jetty is located at First Ave & Toorbul Ln, Bongaree QLD 4507.

Being the Australia Day long weekend, there were plenty of families enjoying the ideal holiday weather conditions 😀

The Bongaree Jetty is well maintained & clean, with seating areas & a great place to go fishing 🎣 😀

The surrounding areas onshore have a wonderful range of BBQ facilities, covered areas with tables & seating, & water drinking fountains are close by ⛲️ 😋

There are plenty of large trees 🌳 that provide adequate shade when enjoying a picnic lunch or a feed of fish & chips 🍟

Parking & shops are available within a short walk from the Bongaree Jetty.

The main reason for this jetty is NOW """FISHING""" and it draws a substantial amount of fishing people. Council in its wisdom has banned cast nets for bait . I have lost one from the shore in the coffee rock drop off and paid $120 for another. My spend at the jetty is a meal and coffee while fishing but due to the banmyself and several others will not use the jetty again and hence at least a loss of 50 to 80 dollars for local businesses . Good on ya council you really need to recognize how much we fisher people contribute to your economy and provide areas for bait collecting like the...
