Hook'd on Seafood Morayfield — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

We ordered our lunch today and was sadly disappointed with the service provided. I ordered at 1:40pm was told food would be roughly 10-15minutes. We allowed a little extra time arriving 20minutes after ordering at 2pm. When paying I was told our food was just getting cooked and it would only be a short wait. One would assume 3-5 minutes considering we were told 10-15 and we gave the extra 5. Once sitting down I noticed meals in there hot box, assuming maybe other phone orders or Uber orders. Multiple people ordering in store so well and truely after our phone order were receiving their meals and walking out the door other phone orders were being handed out and Ubers picking up, yet the same meal in the hot box was still just sitting there and no staff looking at the name nor calling it out to see if anyone was waiting on it. By 2:20 I re approached the register asking an update on my meal as it had now been 40minutes after ordering. The girl that went to look walked over to the hot box and grabbed my meal out. I questioned her and said so how long has that been there and she said not long it’s only just gone up and she said well that’s funny because it’s been sitting there since 2:02pm when I took a seat as I was advised my meal wasn’t ready. She then said oh well your name was called out, which was a flat out lie my name was in fact not called out because was sitting at the table closest to the register and I was waiting and watching every other meal walk out wondering where mine was. She then told me it wasn’t a problem it was sitting in a hot box, in fact it is a problem 1- I ordered a head of time so my meal would be ready and we got to eat it fresh 2- by the time we drove 4minutes home the food was disgusting, chips were soggy, burgers were cold and bread was stale. 3- I don’t know anyone that wants to eat food that’s been sitting and waiting for 40minutes after being made. Maybe your staff don’t prefer fresh food but we would prefer to eat our food once it’s been cooked not 40minutes after due to fault of your incompetence.

Would never recommend this place for fresh food.

You most certainly did not call my name out whilst I was sitting and waiting for my food and if you did your staff should have let you know that the meal has been paid for and the customer is in store WAITING not allowing someone to wait a further 20minutes to come chasing the food up. However, I find it very hard to believe you called my name out while I was in store as the meal was already in the hot box waiting when I took a seat in your eating area.

The following names and orders were called.

order 8 order for Paul order 9 order 10 and you had an uber driver come and collect a meal.

Not once in the 20minutes I was waiting was my name personally called by yourself nor any staff member you had on for that shift. Seeing your reply is even more reason for people of the public to stay clear of your business for two reasons.

1- the food was trash 2- as an owner your unable to take responsibility for your own faults.

Your more then welcome for the feed back and hopefully as a store owner you can do better for...

My Hubby & I decided to dine in & thoroughly enjoyed the our meal there.The food was so so delicious, we both had an $8, fish & chip deal plus a few extras, also a pineapple fritter each for dessert. This was a massive piece of Crumbed Cod with perfectly cooked Chips & Chicken salt. The fish was melt in your mouth ever so delicious, the crumb was so light & cooked to a nice golden brown. Who ever was the cook really knows their job & must love cooking food to please. They were so well organised, it looked like each worker had their own area of prep or cooking in the massive kitchen area. We placed our order, the cashier was lovely & friendly. Her upselling skills was what sold us on the deal, & worth every bite. We were going to take away, but we looked around the dining area which looked inviting, lovely cushioned high back bench seats designed into booths to seat a small to medium family. Well after our long tiring day to sit on those deep cushioned benches was too inviting so we opted to dine in. The cashier was very pleasant to us with changing our preference at last minute. It wasn't a long wait for our meal, we watched their TV a little as it was on a Music Channel with a few songs playing from the 80's. Our meal came over with a lovely smile & really pleasant greeting, she made sure we had all that we needed & we were happy with the dishes she had brought to us. Well our meals looked as inviting to us as they were tasty & delicious. This was by far the best Seafood Meal we had had in such a long time. The value was very good, much more tastier & really enjoyable than the fast food drive thru we were going to have. Until we noticed this Cafe/Restaurant was open again after Covid19 shut down last year. This lovely clean, casual, relaxing & comfortable dining in dinner was so so enjoyable & filling. Well we had to soon leave as the staff was cleaning & preparing to close the store, Hubby decided to go over & thank the staff for our delicious Meal before we left. So THANKYOU you guys at 'Hook'd on Seafood' we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there and we will be back to enjoy another Meal there, or maybe order thru the home delivery menu App's you have, Uber or TableTime. Again - Thankyou for the relaxing & delicious dining in Meal, we left satisfied & Hubby said " go home & have a sleep now, as a cat does after...

I came in tonight with my kids and my sister.

I bought a $45 budget buster deal and then right away my sister ordered hers. We got the same thing. Our orders were less than 2 minutes apart because the young boy serving us had made it easy and simple to order.

Once we had ordered we were told it would be about 20-25 minutes. Me and my sister went to sit at the long tables with games behind them and we prepared. We waited about 10 minutes when many more orders had come. There was online orders and lots of people coming in store.

The young boy that had served us was running around the front while the other two girls assisting him had been in and out from the front and the kitchen until the had completely left him alone. This young boy had been slammed with people putting their phones in his face and he looked panicked.

Once we hit the 25 minute mark the young boy was still alone and asking for our order numbers and we told him we had 88 and 89. He then walked to a small shelf where there was currently a few orders and asked how long it would be when someone snapped at him. Then he came back with a less smile and told us it would be another 10 minutes. We weren’t too upset with this because it was so busy.

We finally got my order and then we asked how long the other order would be. We were then told it would be another 15 minutes after eating for a few minutes. We asked what kind of drinks we were allowed and he said the big 2L drinks from the second fridge. So we grabbed one for each of our orders.

When we got the other order it was about another 20 minutes and not 15 and we weren’t too bothered by this because it was busy but the young boy looks very sad to have made the orders become so seperate from each other and he offered us another drink for the long wait. While we waited for our order we had seen many of the customers walk in and out the orders in their bags and walk out there was about 10 of those orders in between our order.

This was a good experience and that young boy did a very good job for being alone out the front handling all of those customers for so long. Thank you to Hookd On Seafood for that amazing meal and we will be coming back but hopefully a...
