Phrik Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

We visited here Sunday night. We started with appetisers that came out less then 5 minutes after we ordered them. We were concerned there would be a wait considering there was a group of about 20 people beside us, but this was certainly not the case. We started with satay chicken and curry puffs. Each was full of flavour and the serving was generous. Then we ordered our mains, a seafood curry, chicken curry, pork belly and duck. We weren't able to pick our favourite as each dish stood out with unique taste and flavour. The service was impeccable, regularly bringing us water, taking plates and finished drinks too. I'm sorry to say but I think the food here is not very enjoyable. I ordered 2 takeaway dishes. 1 - Thai pork omelette. Just egg and pork. Didn't really have anything else to make it a flavorful experience. Slightly burnt as well. 2 - Pad Kao Mao Noodles (pork). This was very disappointing. Lacked the aroma and flavours that make Thai dishes so delicious. This dish was very bland!! My favourite food at the moment is Thai. My mission is to taste as many Thai foods in Brisbane as I can. I will give this place a 2nd shot and review again.

Food is generally good but service is diabolical, placed a telephone order and was advised of a 35min wait, when we went to pick it up, waited a further 30mins then was advised that it would be a further 25mins, more concerned about dine in customers than take away. Take away orders left sat on side for ages without any staff even attempting to bring out to the take away order area. Front staff young but very apologetic and polite, more a management issue where profit comes before customer quality....
