The Coffee Club Café - Burpengary — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Had previously enjoyed breakfast at the coffee club burpengary being our local but after this mornings experience will never again go there. My husband and I went to have breakfast unaware that we needed to book a table so when we were told they could not seat us fair enough we said we would be fine with a take away order after paying we were told we would need to wait outside for our order. While waiting outside we saw many people enter and wait inside amongst them a group of four people who came back out discussed the fact they had not booked a table and what were they going to do order out or go somewhere else one of them reentered the restaurant then they all went in after standing outside for more than 30 minutes waiting for our food which was uncomfortable due to the fact I am also 36 weeks pregnant my husband and I went in to see how much longer would it be for our order to witness the four people who came in after us seated at a table. This was disgusting and rude of the staff and management there and discrimination I will never recommend anyone go here and will not return to this business such a shame since these businesses could use community support right now yet they treat people this way. In the midst of COVID-19. Expectations are solid for all persons including hygiene today was far far frim hygiene standards. IMG. While eating from the menus an employee came out to clear a previous table. OMG not her fault as she may not be aware or received an induction to strict hygiene instruction. We witnessed the cleaning of a table with a dish cloth and unidentified spray. The dish cloth appeared like it should have been disregarded to the bin on Monday... today is Friday!!!! We witnessed the person spray, wipe the tables and then continue with the same cloth to wipe where bottoms sit!!!! Yes the wooden chair tops & elongated seating area.

The carpet was filthy, the dust is every where including an exposed light fixture with wires hanging down!!! The wooden chairs are covered with food and human handling.

The service was as expected, however, the total experience was lacking.

I am very disappointed with the level of service at Coffee Club Burpengary. I am usually a coffee club advocate but I have been to this store 2 sundays and both times waited an hour for my food (toasted begel and toasted croissant). Drinks came out in a reasonable time however the food was ridiculous. You could see all the Uber eats and menu log drivers waiting for their deliveries and receiving them while all the customers at the restaurant say there waiting. The staff said they weren’t prioritising the online orders and that they were just busy, however the restaurant wasn’t even half way full and if they were having such trouble keeping up they really should have turned off the online orders for a bit. I have never waited an hour for a cream cheese toasted begal in my life and I will never go back there. Absolutely...
