Seafood Harvest — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

We used to really like this fish and chip shop but was very surprised on our latest visit. When paying in card the person asked us to select a ‘tip’ on the eftpos machine from a choice of 3. Admittedly it was a small amount but a) it was before we even got the fish and chips and b) since when do we tip a f&c shop in Australia? If they want greater profit just put the price up slightly. Great old school take away.. Friendly and helpful staff and the food was great and well priced, like a Kia but tasty.. Probably the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. You’d think next to the beach they would have fresh seafood - the fillets were barely 2mm thick. Calamari is frozen. Extremely salty and super dry. Owner was rude, asked for a tip (?) before we could pay. For a $50 family pack there was barely any fish. Four of us left hungry.

I’ve had better food and service at places nowhere near a shore. Was fine with dogs however. Annoyed at all the 5 star reviews - this place shouldn’t be a 4 start...
