If you drink soy: Dropped by for coffee whilst doing shopping . Ordered soy latte. Not sure if it was the beans or the coffee grinds being a little on the burnt side, but the flavour wasnāt great. Temperature was correct. Lovely staff (not owners from picture on google) and the French food looks amazingly good and authentic so Iād say this is their specialty, but I didnāt get the chance to try any. I think they could try a different grind/ make sure the grinds donāt get burnt, or even try a different blend of beans? I usually order this style of coffee and milk , so I was expecting less bitter. Today they used alternative dairy co milk brand for the soy, which is gluten free, and has cane sugar so I expected a slightly sweeter drink. Bonsoy is definitely a nice alternative, and may help with flavour of the coffee, uses tapioca syrup instead of cane sugar. That said I donāt think Bonsoy would get rid of burnt beans flavour so Iād be looking at whether itās being burnt before milk is added first and then trying different bean blends. If I came back ( I donāt live here) I would probably tentatively order a smaller size just in case given how it tasted on this particular occasion.
