My wife and I dined in about 6 weeks ago and I have to say that night we had a lovely meal and service was excellent, However tonight we ordered take away due to Lockdown the person took my details as they were not in their system to be expected as I had only dined in. I ordered and was told that the order would be 40 mins also to be expected on a Friday night However upon turning up to collect the order some 45-50 mins later the lovely staff person informed me that my details nor my order was in the system and after checking with her manager I was given an apology told that they could not work out what had happened and told that it would be another 15 to 20 mins so I said I will come back upon arriving the order was ready and the same staff person apologised once again to which I replied that she was not at all at fault and that who ever had taken the order and lost it was the one who was and that although the food was good on the earlier dine in experience we probably would not be back for takeaway again. Once again they went to the manager and I was given the Large coconut rice for the price of a small I was not seeking any concession on price but is probably a good thing as the rice was not as usual but alittle hard and with less taste than before when we dined in. The staff person performed her role well considering the awkward position the person who took the order and lost it left her in and although I would recommend the dine in experience and the friendly staff and good food I am not sure I would try the takeaway...
Read moreLooks to be a nice quaint tsai restaurant with the food being what you expect at the price point. However upon entering to enquire about my order the manager lady in a yellow and blue top seemed to shy away as if she was disinterested in assisting me then proceeded to talk down to me and correct/quiz me unnecessarily, leaving me to feel disregarded and disrespectected with no rhyme or reason to why. I used my manors to convers with a soft tone and was very understanding and respectful with the statement "we are busy" and the order that was 30 minutes away is now 35 away (ended up being 50ish) with an 90% empty restaurant with few other customers arriving during my dull stay on their roadside waiting chairs. I would suggest going elsewhere for higher quality service and food.
I am not one for reviews other than positive feedback for those who deserve it. but this was poor form and demonstrated why restaurants outside of the harbour side are dying and why people find it hard to support local and make the trek to Wellington or Victoria point.
With the owner even cracking off at others who leave reviews showing much to be desired from a clearly out of touch business.
The two young female staff in white tops showed a solid level of service for...
Read moreWe have been here three times and the first two time were nice. This last time my dinner came about 10 minutes after my partners. The dish had seafood in it and when I received it the pungent smell of ammonia and off seafood hit my nose. I tried eating some of the noodles and a prawn but just couldn't eat anymore. My partner ate a piece of squid and noodles from my plate to see what I was complaining about, he later vomited in the car park. The restaurant manager asked if everything was good and I told her it wasn't, she replaced my meal but by then my partner had long finished his meal, so we took my replacement meal away. That night I ended up sick all night and most of the next day, with lots of abdominal pain.
Since writing this review I have called the restaurant to let them know they made me and my partner sick, I spoke to the owner who continuously tried discrediting me and dismissed my complaint trying to tell me that food poising didn't set in till after 48 hours which in fact can take affect from the moment you eat to up to 24hrs. I asked for a full refund as they had made us sick and she refused. She was very rude and passive aggressive in her manner and kept...
