The Bean and Leaf Cafe — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Pretty disappointed.. I went in at 2.05ish and was looking at the menu for a few minutes for what to order while waiting for 2 ladies in front of me.. I was going to order the ploughman's lunch for $15.50 and a smoothie for $7. After the ladies moved I went to order and was told that the kitchen shuts at 2pm. I then went to order a Sandwich from the front counter to also be told that they don't serve them after 2pm and its only Coffee and Cakes.. I don't normally post bad reviews but I did this time in the hope that the owners of the cafe may see this and maybe have a look at their hours or maybe being lenient of people coming in just after 2pm. I would have spent $22.50 and I'm sure the ladies before me would have spent something similar each. Doesn't seem like good business to me.. or at least put a sign up at the front door so people won't...

Staff were lovely and food and coffee were great! Small things only, toastie could have been slightly hotter then cheese would have melted a bit more and if I had my thermometer I would have checked the coffee as it could have been slightly warmer!

We used to run a 60 seat cafe so I can be a little bit more picky as I dine. Barista wanted to make my coffee till I returned from the bathroom at the rear of the building… Very friendly and helpful front of house staff…. Lovely young girl removed my plate and cup and wished me a good day………when did you hear that last in a cafe Very pleased to have found this lovely spot and certainly would recommend for you to come and give it a try! One of the best coffee breakfast shops in Cleveland. That know how to make coffee ( that's not happening much in these days) and their food is well cooked and very good quality breakfast. I buy my morning coffee from them almost every day, as I work in the area and I have also tried all the coffee shops around and I can honestly say they know coffee. I had breakfast there as well and it was really nice. Mistakes can happen but that's not what I am going to remember, things can go wrong in every single job. As long as the issue is solved with kindness and respect I wouldn't even mention it.And these guys are professionals, I would highly recommend them after worked in the area 2 years now had tried every single coffee shop around and even further.
