What an absolutely beautiful person "Bec" is, on the front desk! This morning I went to another coles location to swap a soda stream gas bottle and return another that I had bought there previously but was the wrong one. They didn't have any of the ones I needed and would not refund the 2nd bottle as I didn't have the receipt. I rang coles at mango hill and was told they had the ones I needed, so I drove there. I explained the wrong purchase to Bec and that I didn't have the receipt. She very patiently showed me how to download the Coles app and link my flybys card so I could easily see and verify all previous purchases. This enabled her to provide me with a refund and sort the replacements. Smart move too, as now I can see so many other shopping functions that I wasn't previously connected to 😉She mentioned to me that she'd also had a rough start to the day. I was in awe of how, regardless of whatever she had going on that morning, she was so kind and patient and prepared to innovate and help find a solution. She could have just turned me away, but she cared enough to make the connections and work with me to sort it. Hands down, BEST customer service I've experienced in a long time! She is an absolute asset to the business and I hope she gets the praise she deserves. My grandkids will happily have a soda stream this afternoon because she took the time to make it possible. I am writing to formally raise a concern about an unpleasant experience I had with a staff member named Tina at your Mango Hill store.
On my recent visit, I noticed Tina standing idly and reading a magazine during work hours. This was disappointing to see, especially as I was seeking assistance and she showed no willingness to help. Her attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, and I did not feel I was treated with the respect and courtesy that a customer deserves.
As a long-standing loyal customer of this Coles location since it opened, I was genuinely surprised by her behaviour. I was in a rush at the time, otherwise I would have spoken directly with the store manager. Based on my receipt, I believe the store manager on duty was Anita.
While I usually have excellent service at this store, this encounter was upsetting and unacceptable. With so many capable and enthusiastic people currently looking for work, it’s disappointing to see someone in a customer-facing role who seems unwilling or unmotivated to do the job properly.
I hope appropriate action is taken, and I respectfully request that I not be served by this staff member in future.

Read moreI visited Coles mango Hill a few days ago I asked for a quarter of a chicken with the breast and wing and when I got hope thinking I had a quarter I discovered I had half a quarter of chicken I paid $4.50 for 1/8th of a chicken when I can get a whole BBQ chicken for $10 and to make matters even worse it had 2 Long darker hairs in it. When I left school years ago I worked in a deli so I know this is unacceptable there were 2 people in the deli a young guy and young girl the people at the deli were all getting impatient the girl that was doing nothing important after 10 mins she serves me. This is just lazy then when she didn't give me what I asked for and paid out alot for what I got then the hair was way too much oh and she needs training in customer service skills she doesn't have any. I want my money back !!!and something that makes me happier because this put me off even eating the chicken. This is disgusting finding hairs in my food I should report you to the health department BTW I am an external lead auditor and audit problems with businesses all over the world I am pretty sure you are quality assured this is a major non conformance you haven't heard the last...
