Cafe 2 Sixty 2 — Restaurant in Griffith City Council

Last Friday approx.12pm. Food ordered All Day Breakfast, toasted cheese sandwich, plain hamburger. Over $60 paid. Selected cafe due to closeness of parking. MISTAKE. Waitress that greeted us quickly wore out her welcome, was determined that ordering take the least amount of time, spoke at us, not to us. Not abrasive, just determined that let us know we were on her schedule. By the time we had finished ordering I was sorry I had chosen this cafe, based on this staff member alone. THEN THE FOOD ARRIVED. I will speak to my meal the "all day breakfast". 1 sausage, ate half, overcooked, disgusting taste. 2 poached eggs, ate one, cold on arrival, had wash mouth out due to taste, after leaving cafe. 1 half tomato, mush. bacon, overcooked, stained black. mushrooms, overcooked, tough, black. Waitress went to pick up the plate and unfinished meal and demanded to know what was wrong. Given our earlier interactions I was not in any sort of mood to deal with her, and simply asked for it to be taken away. I paid the bill determined not to interact with staff member. RATINGS! One star for the food...it arrived! No stars for service...that waitress concerned needs to calm down and speak to the customers as people, not orders. One star for the atmosphere, no air-conditioning but wonderful historic prints...

Cafe 262 is the most welcoming and friendly cafe in town. Rosanne and the staff are amazing, always up for a chat, notice their customers, and make you feel like a regular in no time. Their menu is full of great tasty, filling food, and they are happy to make changes for you if you need. Great coffee - you can even text in your order so it is ready when you get there. There is both outdoor and indoor seating. You'll definitely be taken care of here. Opens super early so you can get your breakfast and morning coffee as soon as you wake up, but be aware that they close at 2pm, and sometimes a little earlier so that customers can finish their lunch and the cafe actually be closing its doors at 2pm. So not a great spot if you are someone who likes a late lunch, but if you are just after a coffee to take away, they will normally...

We were greeted nicely at the entrance of the Cafe whilst looking at the menu. She was very friendly. I ordered the eggs benedict with salmon and water. The waitress came back with bottled water then I told her I just wanted tap water. The eggs benedict was the worse that I've ever had in all my time eating eggs benedict. One, it was on a slice of toast! Secondly, they used coles packaged salmon. Thirdly, it just came like that plain with nothing else on the plate. Presentation was zero and the hollandaise sauce was on a side (see attached photos). I would not recommend getting the eggs benedict at this cafe. Fourthly, the waiter came to collect my plate when half of the eggs benedict meal was still there. Toilets were far down the cafe, at the very end. I would not come...
