Why is it so hard to cook reasonable food here? Ordered chicken special of the day and received fridge cold food that was obviously pre cooked earlier in the day and left to sit until ordered at the lunch trade. Watch this space for the standard reply of please email the manager blah blah blah. The business does not care about standards, just their image and reputation of which why they reply here, "email the manager". They make no effort to fix any problems at the point of providing feedback until it is brought into the public realm. The simple fix is to cook as ordered and/or hold prepared food in temperature controlled food safe equipment and at appropriate temperatures. Also having management that see food safety as a priority would be a good start so this is not repeated. They make no appologies when you bring this to their attention and it is sad that this review is needed as it could have been avoided with an apology, rectifying their practices and making things right at the point of addressing it with them. An absolute abhorrent approach to food safety and the kitchen staff should be held accountable with their jobs. Disgusting..... Use a food thermometer prior to serving if kitchen staff are so inept at...

Ordered 5 meals. The two chicken parmigiana were bone dry. My mother had to use a steak knife to cut into it. The only reason we didn't return the meals was because we both ate the chips and some salad first without realizing the chicken was going to taste like an old leather boot.
The food was piled on the plate so that the chips were directly under the chicken- so the chips were oily and soggy. Why not provide bigger plates?
My son ordered the Aussie burger which listed the ingredients except for beetroot. He doesn't like it so I had to dissect the burger to remove it. Please list it in the menu. You list aioli but not beetroot... Not everyone is a fan and his burger ended up looking like soggy shower cap.
Service was non-existent. I had to clear the plates from the table myself after 40 minutes so we could order dessert. The barista forgot to make my dad's Cappuccino so he had to limp back over with his disability 15 minutes later and ask for it to be made.
It wasn't busy and we spent over $170 on drinks and food. Very disappointed. Check the CCTV and you will see everything I mentioned is accurate.
On the upside the place was clean...
Read moreI’ve visited this RSL a few times now, and there’s a lot to like about the place. The food is great, the atmosphere is clean and modern, and I’ve only had positive experiences with the staff.
Unfortunately, the new menu style is unnecessarily complicated. It feels like a convoluted attempt to increase prices without customers immediately noticing. The ordering process now involves selecting your main meat at one price, then adding sides like vegetables or salad separately. This new setup turns a classic Chicken Parmi with chips and salad into a $30 meal — which is frankly excessive for what amounts to an oversized deep-fried chicken nugget.
On top of that, the presentation has taken a hit. Instead of receiving a single, well-arranged plate, you now get a small piece of meat on one plate, vegetables on another, and mash on a third. It results in diners scraping everything onto one plate — exactly how it should've arrived in the first place. If I wanted to assemble my own meal, I would’ve just eaten at home.
Please reconsider this "Subway-style" ordering system and return to the traditional format that we all know and enjoy. This is a classic case of if it isn’t broken,...
