Mamas and papas pizza — Restaurant in Gympie

I've been wanting to buy a meal from mama and papas for years but as I'm not s big take out eater, I've been cautious of this. Well recently I decided to buy one of their pasta meals, csrbonsra to be exact. Well, from the start I knew it wasn't fresh, but most likely pre made in bulk and reheated in a microwave. Flavor was barely noticeable and I did ask for Parmesan cheese on mine and when I got it, it tasted like crated Coles tasty cheese. Bacon rated like shoulder ham. And the creamy sauce was over bearing. I'm half Italian and I know what carbonara should taste like and what they sold me definitely was not. Not even close. From what I saw the owners are Indian. I'm not being racist but if you want original true Italian food, you need Italians that know how to cook. I'll ave my money and I'll make my own. Sorry, but I definitely wouldn't recommend buying anything from there. As for the Italian salad they sold me, it went in the bin after one bite. This place is top quality. The restaurant is clean and simple. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The pizzas huge with a good amount of topping. Will always come here when I’m back in Gympie. I ordered supreme with anchovies added and got about 1.5 per slice - perfecto. Also got chicken with bacon added and meat lovers. My Dad who is the fussiest person alive, loved the pizzas. Four of us only ate one and a half pizzas.

Came up from Sydney to see my old Dad. This place was closed when last time I was here because of the floods. Thank the heavens it has reopened because the pizzas are F&$@ING EXCELLENT!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mama & Pappa's Pizza Shop in Gympie, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The menu offered an extensive range of authentic Pizza and Pasta dishes, including my personal favourites - the Pepperoni Pizza and the Bolognese. The toppings were fresh, the sauce was flavorsome, and the crust was perfectly crispy. In addition to the pizza and pasta, the Greek Salad was a refreshing and delicious side dish.
