Carrington's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Hamilton Hill

We have heard great reviews and was recommended by word of mouth the Carrington’s Bar and Grill . Upon arrival we were greeted and we were quickly shown to our table we reserved. After ordering our food and drinks, in which they arrived quickly. The venue was packed out amazing to see.

The menu had great choices and amazing prices. We ordered the creamy garlic prawns , superbly cooked and full of flavours in a white wine sauce with steamed rice.

Also ordered the chicken casalinga - panko crumbed schnitzel, mushroom and bacon gravy with grilled broccolini , peas and mash. Superbly done . We were recommended the Wild Thing steak sandwich!

Overall we found the service friendly and efficient and very happy with the food. What a great experience and so happy we did. Friendly and polite staff . Bar staff so helpful and a great selection of beers ,spirits and wines to choose from. The food we ordered was superb well presented and with generous serves too.

Wait staff whisked away emptied dishes and glasses and wiped down tables ensuring our dining experience was maintained at high standards.

From everyday specials, to the chefs specials board and drinks have been faultless. We recommend any meal there, love it.

When it was time to leave we approached the staff at the bar counter to let the staff know how much we all enjoyed our meals. We spoke with the manager Ian.

Ian was professional and had exceptional customer service, he displayed compassion and pride in his team in making all patrons feel welcomed and that their dining experience was not to be forgotten.

Ian was genuinely pleased that we had enjoyed our meals and beverages.

I have known Ash and Lorene since they bought the venue in about 2021.

Preceding Ash and Lorene's ownership, I would enjoy a pint there very often. It was local to Fremantle, the local customers were always a good bunch of belly laughs; and it didn't have the inherent factors that most other venues close to a vibrant city like Fremantle does have, especially on weekend nights.

Since changing ownership and in reward to Ash and Wendy's hard work and astute management of a business; their efforts have been reflected in the changes that have been sealed into a fate of a far more realistic envision of the modern day Australian pub.

Speaking of great pubs;

Can you find me one that is mostly similar, this close to a city?

Can you find me one that tailors to the hard working Aussies, successful Aussie entrepreneurs and good old Aussies that come down for the Melbourne cup?

Can you find me one which has the plans to develop their already massively successful business, even further?

To wrap it up in a nutshell; I love this pub. All of the crowd that I have seen here, do too! The seniors love it, they often come down here for meals - it's a very sweet atmosphere and wholesome environment subsequently, where old mixes with young and everyone has total trust and reciprocal respect between all people who frequent the venue.

This can only be due to Ash and Wendy's fantastic ownership. I won a steak sandwich voucher from 6PR. It was for two steak sandwiches and two drinks. A long drive but it was free so worth it on this level alone. The first impression was it was a very busy evening (Friday) and very noisy! The staff were extremely helpful friendly and efficient. We ordered our award winning steak sandwich and drinks from the bar, no table ordering which is fine. We were given tickets to win $2500.00 The steak sandwiches arrived quite quickly and presented well. The chips were well cooked and fresh The steak sandwich was really good. I am a butcher by trade and am really fussy with Steak. The steak is Scotch Fillet and cooked perfectly, tasty and tender. The other additions to the sandwich created tasty combinations as well as individual flavours. During our meal the owner had fun drawing meat raffles and the opportunity to win the $2500. This created fun as well as expectation. We didn’t win anything but being there was a win for us. Overall the Carrington Bar and Grill is a great local with good meals at good prices. We looked at the menu and the daily specials. The owner mixed with patrons and the staff knew locals by name and both were out and about making people feel special. The only reason I gave the place 4 stars is because it was very noisy so much so we couldn’t hear the background music. Really is a 4.5 star nota 4 star. Some people like loud talking as it does create an atmosphere but we had to speak loudly to each other to converse. I suggest things like carpets on the pillars and some sound attenuation on the ceiling but as I said some people like volume. All in all a great place and if we lived closer we would frequent the Carrington...
