We had dinner here last night. Our welcome seemed an inconvenience when we saw the young girl behind the counter & we didn't have a booking. We were quickly told, 'we are fully booked tonight, you can sit out the front, but you can't have alcohol out there'. It was not a good start, no smile, just brushed off. That role is obviously not a good one for her. We had a look at the menu & before long Bruce came along & offered us a table inside, mentioning that this table needed to be free for 7pm. We had 1hr & 10 mins to order & eat our dinner. It was perfect. He gave us good service & we had delicious crepes for dinner. And a young waitress had an uncomfortable look on her face when she realised ,and I had to finish the sentence..."so the kitchen is closed ?" Rule number one of any establishment is to let people know when your kitchen is closing, especially when you have them on the phone ,and then to not say that it is closed and have the customer say it for you is not good enough anywhere.
