● Used to really enjoy their vego breakfast menu but no longer since they took away the omelette with mushrooms which I was told by a staff member as being their best seller 🤔 They also took away the pancakes which were delicious. ● Now it's a very limited vego option for breakfast & I don't know if it's a new cook now but we got the Avo smash which was very poorly presented and they're now using cheap white bread instead of the unique charcoal bread they used to use. ● Why change something which isn't broke🙄
I think the owners have let the quality of vego breakfast options decline, including presentation & are sitting on their laurels, penny pinching 🙄
■Another gripe is the fact that whenever we go in there there's school kids taking up valuable booths etc sitting on their computer or phones before school starts having not even purchased anything or possibly one has a drink when plenty of people such as us or women with their kids not being able to sit anywhere. Surely preference should be given to paying, loyal customers not school kids procrastinating before school. I even asked a staff member what their policy was & she said there wasn't one🙄

Read moreHave been coming to this cafe fairly often but it feels like the standard has dropped.
Cutlery and cups are not cleaned properly and you have to search to find one that doesnt have stains or food bits stuck on it.
Ordered the smashed avo and it came with just the 1 slice of bread. Went to check that they did not give me the kids size by mistake and they said I could pay more for an extra slice.
I ordered the kids smashed avo for my daughter a month and a half ago and it was the exact same size (-1 egg). Double the price ($21 vs $10.5) for an extra egg for the adult size is ridiculous.
I have posted the photos for comparison when I ordered the kids size for my daughter and the one I paid full price for comparison. The taste was bland as well, felt like nothing was seasoned. Very disappointed and will not be returning.
At least the coffee was good and their babychino for $1 is reasonable.
EDIT: For some reason the photos I posted are not visible to others. But it shows 2 photos of the smashed avo - same size but different toppings (kids vs...
Read moreTimber Cafe in Southern River is a great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink on the go. The food selection is pretty good, with a variety of options to choose from, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The drinks on tap are also unique and refreshing, with options like kombucha and coffee lemonade.
One of the things I love most about Timber Cafe is its location. It's conveniently located within a school grounds, making it easily accessible for parents dropping off their children and having some chilled time before continuing on their day. The cafe also has a nice outdoor seating area, which is perfect for enjoying a meal on a sunny day.
The food at Timber Cafe is decent, but it's not amazing. However, the prices are very reasonable, so I think it's a good value for the money.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Timber Cafe to anyone looking for a convenient and affordable place to eat or drink in...
