I have to comment on this store, as they went above and beyond recently, and that deserves to be recognised. I ordered a couple of burgers and fries through Uber Eats this past weekend, and when the food arrived, it was cold. The buns were difficult to chew. This is not typical of this store, and I hated to complain. But my burger was cold to the touch, despite the delivery driver appearing to be timely with their arrival.

I reported this through Uber's app, and as has become customary for Uber Eats these days, they weren't interested in doing anything about it. I contacted the Pattismiths' store in Southern River (where the food had come from) and explained what happened. All I wanted was one of the burgers remade, as the other one could be reheated (mine had a gluten-free bun, which did not take kindly to being reheated). Whoever I spoke to said, "being hungry can make you angry," and they insisted they wanted to make this right. (I wasn't angry, only frustrated, but I appreciated the thoughtful insight!) They used that as a good reason to make this a better experience. They remade the entire meal and delivered it personally. The food was hot and excellent.

Australia's restaurants are not always known for their customer service, and this is one time that definitely stands out as an amazing way to handle a tough situation. I wish I knew the individual's name so I could praise them directly. They thought on their feet and completely reversed what could have been a negative situation and coloured my view of this chain. That's good customer service by any measure.

Today we felt game to try Dante's hot chicken, a Nashville-inspired fried chicken with an inferno twist. The "3rd abandon all hope level" has juicy, crispy chicken tenderloins coated in a spicy powder that looks hotter than it tasted. We couldn't get enough and wanted to try an even spicier level next time. A must-try for heat lovers!

Patti Smith is honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was incredible — everything came out hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the quality and effort that goes into the meals, and the flavors were just on point. Definitely the kind of food that makes you want to come back again and again.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Super friendly, attentive, and welcoming the entire time. They struck the perfect balance of checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about making sure customers have a great experience, and it creates such a positive atmosphere.

The manager also stood out — very approachable and kind, which just adds to the overall vibe of the place. When leadership is that good, it shows in the whole team.

The atmosphere itself was warm and inviting, perfect for any occasion — whether you’re grabbing a casual meal, catching up with friends, or even celebrating something. It’s comfortable, relaxed, but still feels special.
