Not the best customer experience. When I asked for an orange matcha latte, they proceeded to make me an iced one, which I was very confused by, as I didn’t ask for iced. Also, my latte ended up just being over lukewarm :( I would’ve also preferred if there was more matcha, as I could barely taste it. The orange flavour was very nice though.
20.08.2021: Ordered lamb cutlets and cheese hamburger curry udon for delivery and I think their prices are too high for what you get. The curry udon tasted quite average and the portion size was quite small. It would’ve been more enjoyable if they gave two hamburgers. The lamb ribs were delicious though, so I’ll probably reorder if I dine in in the future. Overall, from my experience with takeaway so far, I think the place is a bit overrated, but I’ll definitely give it a chance with a dine in experience when lockdown lifts.
14.12.2021: Finally dining in and the experience is somewhat better than takeaway. First thing we noticed was that the table water’s ice had unidentifiable black spots in it that floated around in the water when the ice melted, so we had to get the water changed. Despite being disappointed with that first takeaway orange matcha, I decided to give it another chance, and this time ordering iced. Unfortunately, it had the same problem, not enough matcha in it, but this time it was at least more drinkable by being cold and in a glass. (But I definitely will not be ordering matcha from them again.) Food-wise, I can confirm that the chicken karaage don and pork katsu don tasted delicious, but according to my friends who got other items, theirs weren’t that enjoyable. The pork katsu don also had a tiny amount of rice, which was a surprise as restaurants usually skimp on the meat and give you tons of rice. After having ILZA 3 times, I still think they’re a bit overrated, I don’t think takeaway is a good choice, and because I personally don’t like matcha lattes where you can barely taste the matcha, I wouldn’t recommend the matcha drinks. Look forward to a 4th update sometime in the far future as I’ll probably pop in to try...

We went out our way to check them out and even got caught in the rain. There was no turning back as the opening hours is limited to lunch on weekdays!! Upon arriving, Won (one of the trio who owns the eatery) greeted us with big warm smile and immediately asked if we like some hot drink. That’s 🥇 customer service!! And when we tasted the food...woah... we were over the moon 🌙 #oishii #mashta #delish #yummy can’t even describe it 🌟
Really happy we braved through the weather as they were sooo worth it... and above all, the bill was under $40 for the two of us 🤑
Matcha - good 👍🏼 Pork belly don - the highlight of our meal. The teriyaki sauce is one of the best we’ve ever tasted 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Cheese hamburger curry udon - a unique one for us. Patty fried well and there’s mozzarella hidden inside 😁 oh and the curry sauce, awesome! Tasty and you know it’s not due to MSG 👍🏼👍🏼
Please have fri night / weekend opening hours...
