I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated at this store. I have been shopping here and buying cigarettes for three years without any issues. I went to purchase cigarettes and was asked for ID—which I understand—but at 26 years old, I am legally not required to provide it. Even when asked, I showed my ID on my phone, but they refused to accept it.

When I requested to speak to the manager, MAR, he was shockingly unprofessional. Instead of explaining the policy, he repeatedly said, “You can cry all you want, but this is the law,” yet refused to show me any proof. When I pushed for clarification, he even threatened to call the police, which was completely unnecessary and ridiculous.

The way MAR, Vivian, and Joseph handled this was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism, hostility, and poor customer service were appalling. I will be escalating this issue with higher management, as no customer should be treated this way.

MAR should not be allowed to work at Coles, as he doesn’t even meet the basic requirement of being polite to customers. And may I add, he threatened a lady, which is absolutely...

It was a very bad experience, we used to always did shopping at this Coles, but no more as one time, we did buy a full troyley of grocery, when we reached the check out counter, the man behind us asked us if he could pay first cause he didn't have a lots of items, we said no to him that he could use the sefl checkout as it for less items, even other lady behind us with basket wanted to cut our line cause we have a full troyley, but then the coles cashier lady with glasses told us rudely requested us let those people pay first! This is unacceptable, we were helping coles business, we bought a full troyley, and counter is for people with full troyley, sefl checkout is for less item, the most disgusting to thing me was the cashier lady, she "request" us have to let other go first! Unforgivable!!!! She should be the one to ask those people to go to the sefl checkout section , not us!!! We expected a better service for people who buy a lot from coles, not with that attitude from a staff!! Hope coles train them better next time, teach them what is...

A woman named valentina in the self serve today ruined my experience with her bad attitude, lacking knowledge in coles policy, and overall disregard for customer satisfaction. I went about my shopping as normal as a customer of your establishment, and I grabbed 2 packs of chocolates to enjoy as a little snack. They were under a deal that read "any 2 for 10" so I grabbed a package of m&ms and chocolates, however it didn't scan as such. I elevated my concerns to valentina, just for her to order me to go take photos of the tags, despite my physical disability. So I took the photos, just for her to claim the deal doesn't apply because they are from different brands (which isn't true). I told her this, and she changed her story to the idea that the deal cannot apply to different sized units (one was 120g, the other was 180g). At this point my friend got frustrated by her antics, and just paid the extra money to get away from her. Her attitude has put me off of this store, and I think I will have to take my loyal business elsewhere.

I had a very uncomfortable and unsettling experience at this Coles. There was a blonde, white woman who followed me around the store, deliberately picking up the same items I touched — at least 5 times — and even pushed my trolley out of the way without saying a word. When I moved far across the store to avoid her, she suddenly appeared right behind me again while I was crouching down to grab something. The whole situation felt extremely creepy and threatening. I want to warn others to be careful if they see this person. Her behavior was not normal and made me feel unsafe in a public place. Coles needs to take customer safety more seriously, especially when suspicious behavior like stalking or harassment is involved.
