Brumby's Katherine — Restaurant in Katherine

My partner & I were travelling through yesterday & stopped in to get some breakfast before heading on our way again. My partner walked up to be served, he wasn’t greeted or asked what he wanted, the employee just stood there looking at him. He however greeted the worker in his typical friendly manner & asked how she was. He was met with a stony face & no reply. We looked at each other & he tried asking again how she was today. He was met with the same sour unsmiling face & a what can only be described as a grunt for a reply. We looked at each other again & laughed & he then told the worker that he wouldn’t be spending his money there & I told her “you’re in customer service, you should provide that”. I understand we are all human & have bad days, but customers shouldn’t be subjected to such filthy looks & lack of respect. We then went to Pieface...

After walking the Jatbula trail stopped by for a pie. OMG! It is a shame the these franchises cook to a "tried & true" recipe/system. Meat pie was dry and tasteless. Only half full inside. Either cutting back on filling or an old pie repetedly reheated. Very dissappointing. But then again, it is one of the reasons I usually avoid Brumbys and...

I have happily taken my business to Brumby's Katherine store for a few years now - and I have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful and always have a kind word for their customers.

The product is fresh and delicious with a great variety of baked sweet and savoury treats.
